USS Hood, in TNG!

I just got TNG Season 3, Disk 5, and in the very first few minutes of the episode "Allegiance" Captain Picard says they are on their way to rondevue w/the USS Hood! To assit w/their terriforming efforts. Kinda cool for a Constitution class starship.  :)

Most likely it was the same USS Hood in "Encounter at Farpoint" and "Tin Man", NCC-42296 an Excelsior class vessel.

Curious if the Original USS Hood survived the M-5 computer experiment in "The Ultimate Computer" from TOS?

If I were simming on the Hood...I would avoid the Enterprise at all costs!

Sry, I've seen every single TNG disk up to Season 3, Disk 5, but I've never seen Season 1, Disk 1! I've never seen the beginning of TNG unfortunetly.  :(

I'm going to watch Tin Man tommorow, so I'll see what you mean there.

Curious if the Original USS Hood survived the M-5 computer experiment in "The Ultimate Computer" from TOS?

Hey there,

Four vessels were involved in the games against the Enterprise. This were:

U.S.S. Excalibur, NCC-1664

U.S.S. Hood, NCC-1703

U.S.S. Lexington, NCC-1709

U.S.S. Potemkin, NCC-1657

Of the four ships, the U.S.S. Excalibur was critically damaged and the U.S.S. Lexington (commanded by Commodore Robert Wesley) was also moderately damaged.

According to the episode, neither the Hood nor Potemkin were damaged before the M-5 was taken offline.
