Guest TroNoQ

"The Mind is Elsewhere"

As Tro'NoQ continued his repairs of the exposed nerves in Random's arm, his mind started to wander. The procedure was simple enough, which was lucky for the Trill, because his mind was clearly elsewhere.

Was he insane? He had to ask himself the question. After all, most people didn't see spirits... or hallucinations... or whatever Meyvn's apparition was. Most didn't even let it go through their heads that offing their chief science officer was a probability. Maybe her son, but...

Gnashing teeth at his own stupidity, Tro'NoQ glared at his reflection in a polished console.

Meyvn was dead.

Dead, dead, dead.

Then why did he keep seeing things?

Sto'Vo'Kor knew! It was if some evil, overlording entity decided that it was funny to continue to torment him. Would it ever end?

Probably not. But while she was minding her own business from the Hottie section of heaven, he had to patch things back up with Perfect.

"There there," he said, smiling at Random toothily. "All fixed."
