Marx looked up from the section of beach he was lying on, and noted that several of his crewmembers were heading in for the hotel. “Looks like they’re going in for that Adventure Challenge Lo had mentioned.”

 

“Not interested, Airen,” Xian Pu asked, from her beach towel.

 

“Nope,” Marx replied. “I got enough survival training to suit me for the rest of my life with Genma and later at Fort Benning. Besides, weren’t you and Ranko complaining that I never spend any time with my family any more?” The one-eyed Security chief reached over and ran his hand up and down his Amazon wife’s back. “And besides, someone needs to stay behind to pull the collective bacon of the crew out of the fire.”

 

“Mmmm,” she purred. “Too too true, Airen.”

 

“Hey,” the redheaded former Saotome growled from the other side of her husband, “I want equal time.”

 

“Ah, the path of a man with two wives is fraught with peril,” Marx intoned solemnly. His wives laughed at that. “Shall we make use of the hotel’s nanny service, and head back to our suite?”

 

“Pervert,” Ranko muttered.

 

“Ah, but who’s the more perverted- the pervert or the perverts who love him?”
