A Hang Over Like NO Other

A Hang Over Like NO Other

August rolled over in bed and kept her eyes shut tightly. Her head was pounding hard and the thought of light hitting her eyes wasn’t a pleasant thought. “Night light” she whispered, thinking that dim light would be the best way to start. She couldn’t remember what Will and her had been drinking the night before, or how she ended up in a guest room on the station. August opened her eyes and looked at the sign on the wall that read “Congratulations!” on it. The sign made no sense and what was with the little white bells on the ends of it.

August sat up slowly and held her head trying to stop the spinning. She glanced at Will snoring away half on and half off the couch. She walked over to the table and pushed the His and Her Champaign glasses aside as she sat down. She looked around the room still confused; the room was a little fancy for guest quarters. She noticed a card sticking out of the flowers on the table and spun the large vase around and plucked the card out. She pulled the card out of the envelope and read it: “To the Bride and Groom, We hope your life together is a happy one! From the Galactic Wedding Chapel.” She snicked at the card and stuck it back in the flower, which was when she noticed the gold band on her finger and stopped laughing, she stood up getting that weird cold but hot feeling at the same time. “Noooo” she muttered, then quickly shuffled through the stuff on the table coming across a still picture of Will and her with a marriage license under it. In the picture they are clearly two sheets to the wind with a big bottle of champaign. She slightly remember them being cut off at the bar and a sign that read “Free bottle of champaign with every wedding” August placed her hand over her face and muttered repeatedly “Please God let this be a joke, I will never drink again.”

She then glanced at Will, grabbed the wedding bouquet and threw it at him. Hitting him in the head, startling him “WE ARE MARRIED YOU CENSORED!”
