Dreamworld Fantastic

Had she not been bruised from rough handling, or currently locked in the brig, J'stal t'Ditsy could have convinced herself that she was dreaming. She fainted on her way to interrogation, but not because she'd been frightened. Upon hearing t'Rexan's announcement to the entire ship, she'd fainted... from joy.

DESTORIE N'DAK WAS THE NEW FIRST OFFICER!

Only in her wildest dreams had he been in such a position of power. It was almost as though her dreams were coming true. He was first officer. With luck, he would become the Captain when t'Rexan relinquished the position. He was rising in the ranks of the Galae. From first officer to Captain to Admiral and Fleet Admiral. Perhaps he might even become a Senator or... Praetor!

Her heart fluttered wildly at the very thought. She stared at the ceiling of her cell and daydreamed about being bonded to the Preator. She would have nothing but the very best and have everyone catering to her for the rest of her life. Other Rihans would garner favor with her in hopes that she might persuade her mate in one direction or another. Clothes, jewelry, rich and exotic foods - all hers for the taking. Life would be as she always dreamed it would be.

There was one problem, however... She must attach herself to him now before he could grow in stature and power. BEFORE any of the other females could put their grabby little hands on him and yank him in their direction. There were several on board that she suspected of less-than-honorable intentions with regards to HER Destorie: Sar'vek most likely, Rhean possibly, and Laehval for certain. She must be vigilant and unswerving. No matter how long it might take or how many times he may reject her or how often she might be thrown into the brig for harassment, she could NOT give up! She would NOT give up!

A soft sigh of contentment escaped her as she continued to daydream about being the mate of the Praetor. Soon, she told her self. Soon.

First, she must win over the ruggedly handsome Destorie and make him yearn for her companionship. There were several drugs that she could employ that would give her the results she so desired, but she would rather have Destorie begging for her without any outside influence. Surely she could use her amazingly beautiful looks and bubbly personality to bewitch him.

For a moment her thoughts lingered on poor, provincial Issaha. She once told him that such things as power and authority meant nothing to her and that she was not attracted to men of high rank simply because they commanded others.

She lied.

The quest to claim Destorie N'Dak was now her main priority.

But... she'd hold on to her S'Bien shrine for a little while longer... just in case.

A girl could never be too careful.
