"Trust Issues"

Sar'vek was almost getting used to the command chair. Na, she was na quite comfortable in it yet, but she had mostly managed to convince herself that it was na a 'chair of doom' where io might automatically be justifiably and easily y'ya. And yet, it was a menkha sign. Perhaps, in a bit more time, she would io day be able to consider The Chair better than neutral ground -- io day she might be comfortable enough in it to consider permanently occupying it. But na yet.

Listening to the quiet, vocally musical hum from the communications' speaker, she reclined back, luxuriating for a moment in the comfort.

The Arrain's nerves were running a little ragged. Between having the away team on the surface, deep undercover with no currently-operational way of getting a communique to them, battling their ever-nerve-wracking cloak, and avoiding detection from the oupost's sensor net, she was more than a little on edge. Additionally, with their recent... difficulties... she had trouble placing the major tasks in others' hands. Who was she to trust just then?

That alone -- at least trust issues arising from the Great Grain Deception -- was something she was hoping would be cleared up soon. Then she could be back to her usual paranoia, without the added stress of worrying for the safety of the entire ship. After all, watching out for her own hide was at least a little easier than trying to man the Oira nearly single-handedly.

She glanced at the viewscreen's feed of the planet, and sighed, listening to Khev's dirge over the speaker. "Soon," she reassured him, though he had no way of hearing the response, "we'll get au back to the ship, and to the bottom of this mess..."
