Too Many Agendas

Ne'Arrain Arrenhe tr'Khev

As Arrenhe listened to S'Bien go over the list of candidate destinations for the REF, he also contemplated the tug of war going on between t'Aejhae and N'Dak. There was obviously some history there that he was unaware of. Elements, he really needed to sit down with t'Ditsy and get some info, it was dangerous to operate in the dark. He knew too well that it would be the underling that got trampled while the giants stomped about, grappling with each other.

S'Bien seemed to take it in stride, though. Of course, from what he'd seen of the man, he did na seem bothered by much. Though he did seem to take a lot of delight in the NDAK SUCKS array, both its function and the name. He couldn't help but enjoy the name himself. Though t'Aejhae was put in command by the Khre'Riov, and N'Dak seemed set on pushing that, within limits, he hoped that S'Bien could manage to keep some sanity in the affair.

As he listened to t'Aejhae's questions, he couldn't help but think she was putting too much emphasis on the last possible planet that the REF could reach. There were 11 other planets in a few systems that the fighter could duck off into before then, and na io seemed to have any idea what the motives of the pilot were, so it seemed arrogant presumption to assume that he'd go to the last io, or that he was going there to duck under cover. He could be, like any good thief, going as far as his current vehicle will allow, and then "trading" it in for another. It would na surprise him either if this were a trap, and they were being drawn into the endgame for this episode.

Since it was some Tal'Shiar operative, it was nigh on impossible for Arrenhe to contemplate the agent's mind beyond understanding the rivalry between it and Galae. He imagined some of the others were more knowledgeable than he, but considering how much they've floundered trying to piece the puzzle together at this stage, he had little confidence that they'd unlock the mystery sitting here in the conference room. Na to mention the fact that the man was able to escape at all. There were enough dheno on this ship that a suitable guard should have been set up, and the prisoner tightly wound in restraints, even while lying in a bed in Medical being treated for his wounds.

That being the past, however, the best they could do, Arrenhe figured, was to look over the 12 most likely planets that S'Bien had pointed out, and figure out the best way to approach each. Being planets, the number of places to hide and areas to consider were too large to try to make any detailed plans for more than a few of the most likely spots, and contingencies for the less likely. Whether his superiors could get over their past, whatever it entailed, and think clearly on this, was also beyond the young officer's ability to guess. In the meantime, when the opportunity presented itself, he would put in his say and then work to keep himself from being yy'a. While there were many agendas floating around, that was his only io and he was set on seeing it through.
