Hey there,

As I did with Canamar, here's the starter for a talk about the recent Enterprise episode "Judgement."

Reminder, in order for this to work and be fair to people who have not seen an episode, please be sure to use the SPOILER button if needed. :(

Overall, I thought it was interesting. Wonderful acting in the episode and did add a new dimension to the Klingon culture. We had already known they were a very proud and advanced society, not all warriors. Interesting to see that this is something which has been long running.

I was a little disappointed in the ending though. Don't think they captured the "sense" of the horror we felt last time we saw that place.

Well, to be fair, the last time we saw the place was in 1991.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

I thought naming the HoD (That's Klingon for "Captain" for those of you not on the QoB-Lakota.)  Duras was a nice touch.  But since when is the court-appointed attorney punished with the defendant?  I know I would have tried A LOT harder to win the case if I knew that was going to happen.

I have to agree with you Fred, the horror was just not there.

In the end of the show, it just felt like a regular prison, that was cold. There wasn't that sence of batteling others for food and stuff. Plus, I think it's rediculous the ENT could even get in. The ENT-(A? B? C? ) couldn't get in very easially, yet we're saying NX-01 could? C'mon... realistic here peoples.

I dont watch ENT anymore. I watched it today though. I'd like to see some more Klingon episodes. Dunno...the show seems kinda blah to me.   :(

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Not only that but they didn't even show Archer getting captured in the first place!  It's kinda hard to bring someone to trial for a capital crime when you don't even arrest him first.

Wasn't the prison called Rurepenthe (or something like that)? Seems to be a different place unless I'm thinking of the planet name.

I thought it was a neat epesode. I agree, they should have shown more about Archer getting captured, and have a bigger sense of honner

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

In the end, when Archer excapes, how was he able to just walk out without any guard or inmates notice him leaving. They should have had some Klingons notice, not just Archer walking out of the mine

One thing that apparently has escaped public knowledge is that the actor who played Archer's defender, John Garman Hertzler, is also the actor who played General Martok on DS9.  He also worked with Scott Bakula in the past on Quantom Leap.

But overall the episode still sucked.

Vanroy, for a once in a lifetime moment, I full heartedly agree with you.

Now the question is which one of your 3 lifetimes (not counting Academy sims) agrees with me?
