Please stay off topic!

Why does this thread always disintegrate into Monty Python routines?

Simply because the topic is entitled "Please stay off topic!"

Because once someone makes even the slightest reference, it sets us off.

Changing the subject, I am watching 'Let he who is without sin...' and the beginning of the scene where Worf meets the political groups leader, when he looks at the, 'swimsuit' Jadzia packed for him, I got a rather disturbing image in my mind. Stupid speedos....

I never miss sleep when I decide to stay up till four. I only miss it afterwards.

Spoken like a true nocturnal gamer, simmer, and fiction writer. Carpe Noctem.

Although, going to bed at 4 AM versus a 6 AM wake up call for work does not sit well with me anymore, so I sieze the Noctem on weekends, so that would make me a part time Carper that is being dragged to maturity kicking and screaming.

Per the profile: I'm old enough to know better, young enough not to care, and fighting maturity every step of the way.

::highfives:: Amen, sister!

4AM vs. 6AM wakeup...yeah, that doesn't sound particularly pleasant. 4AM vs. 8AM, however, I can say from experience works *perfectly* well on a regular basis.

::strange:: ;)

I prefer 4 a.m. 12 p.m. wakeup. I love my sleep, and hate sleeping before 12 a.m.

Never ever schedule a computer science class at 8:30 then. ;)

Technically, that is what I would like. Normally I go to sleep around 12-ish a.m. and wake up around 8 or 8:30. Thank bob most rehearsals are in the evenings, so on the chances I get a call back, I will have nothing to worry about.

I had an Intermediate Macroeconomics class at 8:30 AM once. This was usually after working a graveyard shift which means I didn't always make it to class, and when I did I was dead tired. I think I came to 5 lectures total, counting the mid-terms.

I had the best grade in both of the instructor's class sections that semester.

Captain Kirk's chair ought to have massages and a foot-rest.

There should be an unofficial STSF event that takes place at some ungodly hour to appease the insomniacs much like myself.

My brain just translated the Washington Post headline "Issue of Guantanamo Detainees Simmers in Virginia" as "Issue of Guantanamo Detains Simmers in Virginia" and got all excited...

I think I need more sleep. :)

Simply because the topic is entitled "Please stay off topic!"

This is actually my 3rd "Please Stay Off Topic" topic. The other two didn't survive the various message board upgrades. What was interesting about those other two, however, is they actually formed a core topic fairly quickly.

I think I do too... I saw a picture of a dog earlier today, and thought it was a horse. My punishment for only sleeping 6 hours last night...

I was driving today and this guy pulls up next to me with the top down on his Ferrari F430 (How anyone can afford that in Dayton, Ohio, I haven't a clue). He looked over at me in my dented '02 Toyota Tacoma and just gave me that "See? I'm better than you" smirk. I felt like rolling down my window and shouting something. Before I could though, redemption came in the form of birds. At least five of them on the wire above us decided to relieve themselves right over him. I saw four falling piles strike in various places on his ultra expensive upholstery while the fifth one landed square on his forehead and proceeded to, very wetly, smear down his face.

All of a sudden, I felt alot better about myself.

xD I remember this one time I was having lunch with one of my old professors (It was a Sports Field day xD) and we sat down at one of the tables and talked for a little while. So suddenly I see his coffee make weird splash. I didn't think much of it at the time and I just kinda looked up and saw birds flying around. Then I look down and he's about to take a drink and was like, "Umm.. I really don't think you should drink that... >.<". He looked and sure enough, xD we had a good laugh after that.
