I know there's a YouTube policy, but this was just too funny not to share with the rest of y'all. It's The Camelot Song from Monty Python and the Holy Grail to clips from TOS. Enjoy

And now for something completely different.

"Well we got no class

And we got no principles

And we got no innocence

We can't even think of a word that rhymes"

A recruiter put my resume in front of a client and they really liked my resume, but they want me to document my Excel experience. WHAT THE %*%&@ IS THAT ABOUT? I'm a professional accountant! Asking an accountant to document his Excel skills is like asking a carpenter to document his use of a hammer! It's just a given you know how to use the tools of your trade!

Movies. We all have one or two that we like, either recent films or one from a few years back, when every time they are shown on TV, chances are you will watch them again and again.

My current two seem to be: Braveheart with Mel Gibson (awesome mayhem in the Highlands - Scots, swords, and evil plotting Kings - word!) and Dantes Peak with Pierce Brosnan (solid disaster adventure story, and Brosnan is a hottie). Every. Time. They air.

I'm finally going to break down and just buy the dang DVD's. Enough is enough.

(Top Gun is another one - "Talk to me Goose!" - but I do have that on DVD) :-)

A dude went bankrupt trying to make a Star Trek house.

I'm Bored to death.

It turns out that William Shatner has a serious speaking problem.

And finally.....

It's party time!

Eewww...Top Gun?! :) I can't believe I still have that soundtrack on tape.

I never, ever watch a movie that I've seen before on TV. Because I usually own it. A lot of times I'll see it's playing on TV, then break out the DVD and watch it. Pirates of the Caribbean for instance. Widescreen format, fancy stereo sound, and no editing or commercials.

And I never have one or two favorite movies. It usually amounts closer to ten or twenty. There are some obvious ones (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park trilogies), and then not so obvious. Big Trouble in Little China, John Carpenter's The Thing, John Carpenter's Halloween (lots of John Carpenter), Sleepy Hallow, Silence of the Lambs, Bubba Ho-Tep, and Gladiator, just to name a few.

Carpenter's "The Thing" is creepy - good solid sci fi, and dare I say it, I enjoy it more then the classic version with actor James Arness as "The Thing". Although, never, ever count any classics out - some good stuff there. :)

Quite the collection you gots there.

Either way, its very impressive. Do you have a widescreen to go with it?

Actually, I love the classics. The Thing (and possibly The Fly) is one of the few remakes I like better than the original. The original Invasion of the Bodysnatchers is one of my favorite movies.

On another note, I just heard the Ducktales theme song. And I really miss that show.

I heard a rumor that James Bond is now a blonde? I'll reserve comment for now and rent Casino Royale.

Yea, and according to my friends, he sucks like hell in comparison to his fancy predecessor, Sean Connery.=P

I myself went for Talespin - I liked the retro 30's type of setting, with air pirates and such. Although, Darkwing Duck was pretty good as well - the show had a good sense of humor.

It appears there may be some good movies in the theater this summer. But Hollywood can't fool this old dog.

Transformers? I believe Riker's line to Minuet may be appropriate in this situation, "Computer Generated Gin Joint" & WHAT? No Soundwave? You've got to be kidding me! [

Don't get me started on that; I (and I'm sure a few others here) grew up with the original cartoon. There is something to be said for full on animation or CGI animation, not live action/CGI combo. Where's Spike? Sparkplug? I want to see a police cruiser called Prowl. Meh - I'll get over it....may even break down and go see the film. :)

It's worth seeing. I enjoyed Transformers and the CGI, and despite the GM product placement it more than fufilled my expectations. :)
