Any of you over there in yankland hear about the rumble over here at the BBC? A rundown is that basically the British equivalant of Letterman or Leno, the king of latenight over here, Johnathan Ross, has been suspended...for making prank phone calls.

Stupid oversensitive world with its complaint hotlines.

I did, but I always look at the BBC News (World Edition). It is on my Google Toolbar.

Do not say Yankland, as I am from Tennessee and we recall the northern aggression from those Yankees.

Some reason the British still thinks that the United States is like New York City.

Oh well, some Americans think the people in Liverpool and London are the same.

And yet that stuff happens all the time on various radio stations over here. I heartily agree that it has become a stupid oversensitive world. Heck the Pythons, Benny Hill, or Mel Brooks probably wouldn't be able half the stuff they used to nowadays.

Hmm. I was thinking of saying something inflamatory until I realized my family wasn't even in the US of A at the time of the Civil War. But...would it really have been better if the Confederacy had won? ;)

um, well I am anti-slavery, but the USA is pretty screwed up now-a-days anyways... so I don't really know... I guess it is kind of pick which screw-up you want in the country, slavery or screwed up government and economy. Actually... some united states companies us sweatshop labor in foreign countries, which borders on slavery so... hmmm...

what is considered random anymore or less such that there is not enough of 'it' to go round so what do we do but make a list of 40 pages of random nonsense (I like it - keep it coming)

You said it. You can trace the evolution of comedy from Blazing Saddles and Life of Brian to what passes today as comedy and it doesn't even come close. You couldn't make either of those movies today.

Sadly.... I want to punch what people count as comedy today.

The Philadelphia Phillies are the new World Series champs. This rocks out, and of course they have always had the best loved mascot - the Phanatic. w00t!

The local neighborhood exploded into a fun frenzy, with people jetting down the main drag in their cars, hanging out the car windows and waving Phillies flags, walking the sidewalks, and pops and booms that may have been firecrackers or gun shots (let's not dwell on that :-P), I'm not sure which. It was awesome. And, I heard a report on a radio morning show that within the city, apparently there was like, *one* car overturned during the post win celebration (hey, our team just one, lets turn a car! riiiiight).

Needless to say, and I'm sure the Agincourt peeps would agree, I was a wee bit distracted last night. :-P w00t!!

Go PHILLIES!

Ah, Waffle House!

I remember counting the number of Waffle Houses we passed when my marching band drove from Maryland to New Orleans by bus to play at the Sugar Bowl. The number was really kind of obscene.

And...yay Phillies! (::has never watched a World Series game in her life and is easily led, like a lost sheep:: )

love is a piece of butter toast stuck in the toaster killing the person who tries to get it "out"

Love is a four letter word

love might just rule but there are no rules in love

love makes some people do interesting things but then it has all been done before...

love is...

Yeah, at least it wasn't the Red Sox this year. The Yankees'll take the Series next year, and I betting the 2d place Devils take the Stanley Cup this year.
