"I trust everyone, I just don't trust the devil inside of them." - cool quote, but a bit less literary and philosophical then the past few quotes.

Random - I downloaded a favorite ten year old Playstation One game onto my 360 (360 Arcade -hide the wallets - its like a classic game mecca). "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" never looked so good. A side scrolling, RPG, old school game - simplicity at its best and it still packs a punch.

Best. Western. Filmed. Ever. Tombstone, quote is Val Kilmer in a stellar Doc Holliday performance.

That entire movie is a quote paradise. Best. Western. Ever. (...I may be a *tad* biased)

Sweet three toed sloth of the ice planet Hoth!!!!

I'm in the middle of watching that movie at this moment. Just took a break from it a minute ago. And he just said that line!!! If that ain't coincidental, I don't know what is!

And no, you're not biased Kansas. The only western I like more is "Blazing Saddles", but I don't think that counts.

Of course Blazing Saddles counts. It has all the elements of a Western: the greedy politician/landowner and his cronies; the handsome, debonair Sheriff with his trusty sidekick; the beautiful, yet strong, love interest; and the poor downtrodden townsfolk who're in danger of losing their property. And of course, memorable lines.

I, however, tend to be more of a Clint Eastwood Western fan. After all his "Spaghetti Westerns" are funny to watch, especially with the redubbing out of dubbed Italian back into English.

Blazing Saddles - of course it counts Phil. I actually have a comedy western to recommend - "Lightning Jack" (1994) with Paul Hogan and Cuba Gooding Jr. I swear, the two of them together pull the film off somehow, and its a pretty good adventure-comedy.

Clint Eastwood is the tried and true Man With No Name, totally Will. But I do not like the Spaghetti Westerns, Clint or otherwise. They just annoy me, I don't have another explanation then that. :-) I do however, like Eastwood's American made Spaghetti's (Hang em High is a prime example).

And if anyone is interested in a Spaghetti style, pure gunslinger movie - "The Quick and the Dead" with Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman.

Random oldies to recommend - Bend of the River and the Man from Laramie (both James Stewart). John Wayne - the man did so many Westerns, but I randomly recommend the following - the defining cavalry trilogy (Rio Grande, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, and Fort Apache), El Dorado and The Horse Soldiers.

*looks at post* I am not a western geek. I swear. Really.

Yup I seen Lightning Jack. Nothing beats seeing an Australian cowboy. That movie is a riot and I Cuba Gooding Jr. is a riot even though he doesn't say anything.

now on to something off topic . . .

From my Wildlife Management professor to his online class of 450 people:

Howdy Conservation Peeps:

In response to e-mails over the past 24 hours-

1.) No.

2.) I'm very sorry, but no.

3.) Not at this time, but bless your heart.

4.) No, sorry but no exceptions.

5.) No, but best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.

6.) Thanks for the very kind idea, but no, that's why I'm dropping your

10 lowest quiz scores and providing extra credit quizzes.

7.) I'm very sorry but you need to open your Power Point Presentations

before you start "clicking" through them.

8.) Yes, I checked the Karner Blue Butterfly lecture and there is

absolutely nothing wrong with it or with the USFWS link that covers

that species.

9.) No thank you.

Have a great day and I hope to see you when you stop by the office.

Only a few weeks to go, you can do it!!!!

Cheers,

Dr. Whitmore

I think someone needs to see a shrink for Multiple Personality Disorder.

I did, and you know what the shrink said?

"You have plenty of personalities already, what do you want another one for?" B)

OK, here is how it works out:

Van Roy (Qob-Lakota): Was being transported from the USS Reaent to a new assignment when the ship transporting him, the USS Lakota, became lost in the Delta quadrant along with the IKC Qob. Because he had some engineering background he was assigned as a Tube Cleaner. When he finished cleaning his tube 7 years later (which is the time between when the ships were lost and I joined the sim) he was made CENG, as all the other engineers had died or deserted. Van Roy is a full Vulcan and an only child.

V'Roy (Reaent): Is the identical twin, separated at birth, of Van Roy who used to be Helm, later Helm/Ops, for the Reaent. Van Roy was half Romulan, which means so is V'Roy, but neither Van Roy or V'Roy know of each other's existence... at least not yet. V'Roy is puzzled by the existence of his emotions and a sense of humor as he believes himself to be a full Vulcan. However, he is beginning to uncover clues about a possible relative, such as "Van Roy Was Here" etched under Van Roy's old station and a couple crewmen who knew Van Roy refering to V'Roy as Van Roy. Van Roy's last log entry mentioned a last-minute transfer and it is believed he was assigned to the USS Lakota II (a replacement ship for the one in the Delta quadrant).

Even though I played both Van Roy characters / former characters they are not necessarily related. just as not every Smith or Jones or Davis is related. I might somehow work in a relationship if the two crews meet however.

Do people go nutty during bad weather? I mean, does it mess with their brains or something? Rambo complex? If anyone has been watching their local or US news, I'm sure there's been a quick story about the Nor'easter wreaking havoc along the mid/upper east coast.

I had a large maroon truck zoom up on the drivers side and *wedge* (whoa! alert! watch the car! paint job!) it's way in front of me, only to pull out again when the left turn lane right in front of us was available. My first clue was all the dents on the truck, a dead giveaway - this driver is a bit of a road warrior.

So, weather equals the brain really mis-firing?

You're lucky you didn't wind up like Gov. Corzine-- femur fractured in two places, 12 ribs broken, and a cracked sternum. Maybe it was the same pickup that did it to him. B)

So anyway, I've noticed that too. Whenever it rains or snows people's minds go to mush. Knuckleheads in SUVs think they can still to 75 on snow-covered highways, or its the "oh my god, it's raining, I need to do 25 in the fast lane of the Turnpike" complex.

So, my guess would be yeah. Foul Weather = really stupid drivers.
