I don't know about zombies, but I had this one really weird dream. I was sitting down to enjoy shrimp cocktail with a Jedi...a redheaded and particularly buxom Jedi, on a Star Destroyer of all things. And then the alarm went off, ending it. ;) I honestly don't know if I was crossing genres, because I'm also a fan of the anime Ranma 1/2. :P :(

Okay, this is still on the subject of dreams. You know how people (me included) always argue about what is cooler? You know, vampires or werewolves, pirates or ninjas? Well evidently my subconscious brain decided to take it one step further. In a dream I had a couple months ago, I saw the creation of an epic battle. Werewolf Pirates against the Vampire Ninjas! Think of it!

Naturally neither side won in my dream, because we all know both (or all four I guess) are equally as cool.

I was just watching Revenge of the Sith and found an "easter egg". While Obi-Wan and Anakin are talking in the hallway shortly after Anakin's appointment to the Jedi Council if you look very closely you can see a modern-day space shuttle heading toward the airport in the background.

I knew they'd find a purpose for them someday.

Did you know that Daylight Savings Time starts earlier this year? The second Sunday of March instead of waiting until April. Why is it that we spend more time on DST than on "Standard" time. Doesn't that make it the standard? Why don't we just STAY forward, for that matter, and to heck with this stupid switching.

(and yes, i know Arizona, Hawaii, and parts of Indiana don't participate.. We should all join them!)

I dont know about other State Fairs, but here in Minnesota one of the general "themes" is food on a stick. It wasn't such a big thing in the past, you could mostly get a giant pickle and whatnot, but recently its exploded into this big thing at the fair. You can get pizza, spaghetti, deep fried candy bars, tacos, just about anything you can think of.

Most of it is pretty good suprisingly. I didn't get a chance to go this year, so I don't know if there's been any new additions, but if you ever happen to make it to my neck of the woods, you absolutely have to get a deep fried Milky Way bar. Its probably the most welcome heart attack I ever had.

Anyone else's county/state fairs have weird things like this?

Does this mean that the next time your boss (or whomever else) has a stick up their rear, you can take them down to the fair and sell them? Pig on a stick.

Who the heck would want to buy a boss?

It would only be worth it for a trade in, assuming that the newer model had a lower yelling per hour rating, or perhaps a better compliment to insult ratio.

A boss is akin to a diaper, and we all know what that implies...::presses pedal on diaper disposal unit:: ;)

I had the greatest boss back when I worked at the Grocery Store when I turned 16. We used to have shopping cart races down the store, and we'd steal candy from the dispensers. Kinda sucked when we got fired.

Happy Chinese New Year All...Year of the Gold Oinker (pig)... ;)

I prefer the Year of the Tiger. No reason. ::deadpan::

I love the moral of the chinese new year animal race fable. To win the race you don't have to be strong or hardworking, you just need to ride on some poor git's back till you get to where you want to be.

I myself am a dragon, which is really the only reason I pay any attention to the whole thing. That, and I find it funny that both my parents are rats. ;)

I hear you on that! I am a tiger (woot! how appropriate) but the parents are a snake and a dragon. Cracks me up - how exactly do two scaly reptiles end up with a furry cat?

With regard to personality traits and the hobbies/interests afforded to the tiger, some are dead on with regard to myself, but other traits just sorta leave me going "Huh"? Likewise some traits apply to the parents, while a couple do not. It can be interesting.

Happy Year of the Pig everyone.

People born in the Year of the Ox are patient, speak little, and inspire confidence in others. They tend, however, to be eccentric, and bigoted, and they anger easily. They have fierce tempers and although they speak little, when they do they are quite eloquent. Ox people are mentally and physically alert. Generally easy-going, they can be remarkably stubborn, and they hate to fail or be opposed. They are most compatible with Snake, Rooster, and Rat people.

Yep, that's me. Eccentric, fierce tempered, quiet yet eloquent, always alert, easy-going, stubborn, and hate to fail or be opposed. ;)

Who's next on their Chinese zodiac?

Rooster: People born in the Year of the Rooster are deep thinkers, capable, and talented. They like to be busy and are devoted beyond their capabilities and are deeply disappointed if they fail. People born in the Rooster Year are often a bit eccentric, and often have rather difficult relationship with others. They always think they are right and usually are! They frequently are loners and though they give the outward impression of being adventurous, they are timid. Rooster people¡¦s emotions like their fortunes, swing very high to very low. They can be selfish and too outspoken, but are always interesting and can be extremely brave. They are most compatible with Ox, Snake, and Dragon.

THE HORSE
Horses are very appealing people. They are warm and friendly and dearly love social atherings with plenty of people. They are perceptive and enjoy talking. They have a high spirited nature and are changeable. This makes them hot-tempered, rash, and headstrong. They are always falling in and out of love. Quick to warm to someone, they are just as quick to lose interest. Here today and gone tomorrow-these are the Horses. Then when you decide not to see them again, here they come ready to pick up where they left off!

Horses are adventurers at heart, but they do have sharp minds and good abilities for managing money. They are self-reliant and energetic. They love exercise, both mental and physical. Their movements are rapid, yet graceful; their speech is quick, yet elegant. Horses want things their way and they will become aggressive when all else fails. They value their freedom above all else. They are not possessive or jealous of others. Being moody creatures, Horses depend on the feel of things. They possess the ability to improvise while events are in motion and can handle several things at once. Horses find it difficult to unwind. They keep strange hours and suffer from insomnia. When they stop, it is usually from exhaustion. It is hard for them to follow a schedule for they have no respect for routine. They need to keep busy but do best when given a free hand.

Horses are full of new ideas to solve tricky problems. When they have an idea, they want to get right to it. They work around the clock until they finish. Horses want you to come to the point quickly since they don't have time to spare. They will not care if you are blunt, just don't waste their time.

Horses must be allowed to show their emotions. They are hot-blooded, hot-tempered, and impatient, and they will gladly demonstrate. In love, Horses are quite vulnerable. They give up everything for the object of their affections. This causes them trouble since they are such impulsive creatures! They must learn to use caution. If one has a Horse in their house, you can bet the Horse receives most of the attention. Horses like being the hub and have everything revolving about them. In return, they work hard and share with everyone.

Horses don't mind starting over. They maintain their determination and enjoy new successes. They belong in careers where they are surrounded by people. They sway crowds and love being flattered. The willful Horses get into countless predicaments but they bail themselves out. They enjoy fighting their own battles. Colorful and lively, they make many friends. If they could be in several places at once, they would be delighted! Their spirit is restless and searching. Creativity is part of their being. They are talented writers and performers.

Nuff said... ;)

You know, I've always wondered what causes a zoophile to be a zoophile.

Probably because animals don't complain as much when you don't mow the lawn.
