Totally ignore this. For some reason I read something, thinking it was something else. But I was mistaken. :)

Now that I confused everyone, my cute, nerdy butt is going to bed... :P

The Agincourt is en route to the Gareem colony world, towing the disabled Gareem freighter back home. My question is - what if any Soltan are found on the surface of the world? If the 'Court intervenes (again), thats one more time the crew draws attention to themselves in the Perseus sector.

The 'Court is definitely the wild card in the sector, unbalancing (and balancing) the various power (s) that have called the Perseus home.

Now, this is downright mercenary and I blame the Evil Kitty alter ego of the Mirror 'Verse - but has anyone given any thought to the mayhem the 'Court could cause within the sector, given the fact they really don't have to answer to Fleet Command?

And coming back over to the non-evil (honestly though, this is boring :-P) with regard to that last question- how can the 'Court crew really know when extreme force is needed or not needed, and who to tick off or not, if they start acting as the sector police?

It's hard, but extremely fun, being the "fish out of water"...especially if you have a Really Big Spaceship. :-)

I was attacked by a thought (its amazing what pops into your head while being stuck in work traffic) -whatever happened to Melissa/Apple, the PIA traveler from a past century.

I'm assuming she is still on board the ship, and being re-introduced to the universe through classes and such?

Probably... she might surface at some future date...

Well, we might be able to get her to guest, but I think she's busy these days.

I think the real question is do we want her back. She wasn't the nicest of guests.

Good idea. I knew they choose you to be in charge for a reason.

Okay - the 'Court came upon a battle that the Selshans and Umbara (Birdies!) were engaged in. The Umbara leader bartered, basically saying that the 'Court could have safe passage across if we took along a package as courier.

Ya know, my Mom always told me when I was little never carry a package for another kid - you just never know what's in there. :)

EDIT: Correction - the "package" is actually in the form of a missing Umbara General. The Birdies want the Agincourt crew to act as a go between and get their General back from the Selshans in exchange for safe passage through the corridor of space that the two sector powers are fighting in right now.

...I still say this is a loaded package! w00t!

Okay, the Selshan spy-defector has been taken from the Umbara, and now resides as a "guest" (basically he makes the 'Court a flying target for retaliation), and now the crew concentrates on plans to get the missing Umbara General back from her captors - the Selshan.

Very cool - the 'Court crew is doing their impression of Bond meets Bourne. Deals, spys, and unknown factors.

The 'Court is preparing to go about snatching themselves some Soltan tech in order to hopefully get home. The crew needs to find a location of Soltan, grab the tech, and hope it all works out.

The question is - will the crew strong arm the technology from the aliens once they find them? Will they negotiate (or try to)? Or will it all just become one big cluster frag? Perhaps a little bit of everything?

And, lets not forget that nice little "Zombie Touch" that the Soltans have.

We shall see! w00t w00t!

::Pounces the Perseus target::

Okay, the search is on for a Soltan ship or whatever so the crew can "liberate" the needed drive tech to do that warp vector gateway thing (non science geek techno-babble) and get home.

The Marines are doing pre-prep for possible hard contact with the Soltans, and a tentative battle plan is being drawn up. Do not get in thier way. Hoo Rah!

If the tech is acquired, Engineering probably needs to figure out how to get it working. Guys, if the ship blows apart, don't tell us.

Science is looking into fortifying the marine battle armor against the Soltan turning and unraveling the mystery of the Soltan virus in general. Is it really possible to guard against the 'Zombie Touch'?

Medical also needs to deal with any other defense aspects and data regarding the Soltan. Will we have some answers about and defenses against these blue skinned beings that have the ability to change others, and serve as a warrior caste to the Selshan?

Security is planning on putting Dingo squad through some tentative marine commando/hybrid security type training, utilizing the seldom used security riot gear. If this works out, the remainder of the Sec squads will recieve the same training. It's possible that security could back up the ground pounders where and if needed when the Soltans are finally engaged.

Sparks may fly.

Things are gearing up for the assault on the targeted Soltan Base - a planetary based industrial/ship repair facility.

"Hair" Rieve from the marines, "Will" JoNs and "Elvis" Black-Knight from security, and thier respective teams will be coming in from one direction, while "Paradox" Day and "Buddha" Matthews, also of the Marines, and thier respective assault teams will come in from the other direction. These insertion teams will be searching out the Soltan warp vector tech that is needed, and possibly running and gunning in the process.

Meanwhile, "Troll" Merrill and "M&M" Marshall will be doing the decoy thing with shuttles, attempting to keep any defenses occupied and away from the insertion teams.

Will the target site located by Sciences turn out to be the mother lode? Will Medical be patching up any casualties in the aftermath? Will any of the teams contract the dreaded Soltan Blue Touch?

We are down to the wire! Bring it on! Fire at Will...oh no, wait. There will be no firing at Will.

w00t!

The Engineering department continues to do their thing. They are still trying to figure out how to get the Soltan warp drive technology that was "liberated" from a factory to work so the crew can get back to the Alpha quadrant. How exactly can you cross wire alien warp drive tech - that allows them to poof here and there, and appear out of nowhere and steal crew people right off the decking - into Federation tech?

If the ship implodes, don't tell me.

Sciences is also working on an offshoot Soltan tech issue, namely figuring out how some confiscated Soltan weapons are supposed to work. These little "glob" balls conform to the touch of a Soltan user, but can be highly volatile otherwise.

If a section of Sciences goes boom, don't tell me.

Security and the Marines got some action (that just sounds wrong, but its pretty accurate). Strike teams headed down to a Soltan/Selshan held prison planet to rescue an Alpha quadrant scientist (Senok) held in the prison structure. The Marine Sharks breached the prison itself while the Security Squids kept the perimeter guards busy. Doctor Ktorem Senok was well known in the Alpha quad for his work in the communications field, and apparently he developed a communications array, and then disappeared. Why was he taken in the first place? Who took him? How exactly can his communication findings be mis-used, because you know his research can be mis-used!

Boo Yah. Bring it on!

Updates! w00t!

- Doctor Senok is on board and recovering in sickbay. He'll need to be questioned about how exactly he ended up in the Perseus Arm.

- The marine and security officers who participated in the ground assault mission did not escape unscathed: one security officer is down, and we have a very tuned up Marine XO who is critical in the medical bay.

- Engineering seems to have made some progress on the Soltan warp vector technology, and the department chief made a report to the CO.

- Sciences continues to theorize with those little Soltan glob ball weapons, and how they can be applied to the stolen Soltan warp tech.

- The Second Officer got ripped a new one by the CO for "dropping off the radar" during the ground mission.

Season 2 ended with an ominous cliffhanger:

- The 'Court Engineering greasemonkeys successfully used the Soltan warp tech to convert the engines/ship to travel via the subspace slipstream thing; while in this "nether region", a Soltan attack fleet was spotted. The ship and crew hitched a ride on the Soltan warp wake trail to arrive back in the Alpha Quadrant.

- The Alpha Quad you say? Yep, it seems the Soltan baddies are planning to attack Earth according to intercepted comm traffic.

- So, here we have an attack Fleet in station keeping just off of Pluto, and the Agincourt is attempting to warn the quadrant in general over the comm lines with any available star ships attempting to mobilize to meet the incoming threat.

- I sense BOOM-age.

Now what could make you think that? ::looks innocent::

We did indeed have Boom-age! w00t!:

- The Soltan attack fleet has pretty much slagged Earth. The Eiffel Tower is no more and it's safe to assume that Fleet Command got nailed as well as hinted at by the remains of a "blue flag" in the same log by Colonel Harper ("The Centre Cannot Hold"), and many other targets and sections of the planet (South America, to name an example) got hit as the sim itself has progressed.

- There was a pitched space battle within the Earth solar system as front line ships and reinforcements took on the invading fleet. The 'Court went into Multi Vector Assault Mode and started to kick rear and take names. We also had some tactical help from our resident energy being, Shadow, as he latched onto and physically overloaded a lead Soltan assault ship.

- We had several "back up actors" as well, which was downright cool. A guest appearance by the Excalibur and Admiral Corizon, several JoNs relatives running around on the USS Yellowjacket and the USS Okinawa respectively, and a visit from Captain Halloway of Aegis and Camelot/Excalibur fame as well as he and his ship entered the fray.

- And a certain second officer while exercising Action Boomage powers, blew a chunk of Australia away (Had way too much fun).

... G'DAY! ::Australia floats by in space::
