If Things Weren't Bad Enough Before...

Ensign Sendai Riko

As Perfect left the lab, Riko stood at the console with an expression of incredulity plastered to his face. If it wasn't bad enough before, with somehow finding himself in the wrong universe with a seemingly inept crew who like to Jell-O wrestle, he now had one of the people that could possibly help him upset.

He still couldn't believe the things she had wanted to do, and it surprised him that his jaw hadn't dislocated in its attempt to drop to the floor upon hearing the suggestions. She had thought his refusal centered on her ugliness: while it wasn't helpful by any means it wasn't the primary reason. Considering the reasons that she had for suggesting them in the first place he would never have accepted the proposal either: he wasn't a poacher. The fact that this took place in this universe was another factor.

Sighing, he looked down at the console, which was displaying the sensor data from around the time he appeared in this universe. Unfortunately, however, the standard external scan data wasn't showing anything unusual. He would have to pull up the internal sensor data next. Saving the data into a protected file in case some idiot deleted what he needed before he could get back to, he then ran a hand through his hair. He was much too distracted by the encounter with Perfect to continue working. Seeing the chair over by the hamster, he settled into it. He looked at the creature for a moment, then spoke to it.

"Poor little guy. I wonder how long you'll last? Longer than I will at this rate, probably."
