Was wondering about the rules for characters

I was wondering if I would be allowed to use a character I just created.. She comes from the 21 century and is a soldier in the Army who gets transported on the the enterprise by Q .. I was wondering on if I would be allowed to use her i a Role play here.((She was origanily from a Fan fiction I made.))

Thanks

Brandy.

Hi and Welcome.

You don't need to worry about RPing as that character for right now; your role will be as a cadet in the academies. Once you hit a few academies, then graduate, you will eventually look into a posting to one of the advanced games. Thats when you can RP as the soldier character (after the character is cleared with your Command Team of course  ), because then you'll need to come up with a permanent character.

Have fun. Good crew here!

Well, that would depend on the Command Team of the sim you are applying to. When you graduate from academy and are posted to the sim of your choice, email your bio to your GMs for approval, it's up to them to decide whether to approve your character or not (but don't post your bio on the boards, or send it to the rest of the crew until your Gms gve you the ok). Some GMs may approve your character, but some may not. But as Kansas mentioned, right now as a cadet, your first priorities should be to learn our simming style and graduate from our academy rather than focus on character development.

Welcome aboard! And, as someone who's been here quite awhile, character development never ends. But, and not to sound like a broken record, that is for when you post to your advanced sim; although it doesn't hurt to start a little teensy bit during the Academies. Try all the positions, and if one takes your fancy, try it in multiple Academies on different nights.

As for when the time starts coming nearer to graduation, start checking out the various advanced sims, to see if one is to your liking. We encourage visitors!

And remember, we have everything from Romulans to Horta to choose from as character races. Although I have yet to see a Horta.

Hood has a Horta, Marx.

Hood has a Horta, and that Horta is Hard.

Hard is a Horta. Hortas are hard. Hortas in Starfleet are hard to have. Being a hard Horta on the Hood is hard.

Having no hands makes it hard for hard Hard. Hard has a handy mechanical hand. Hard's hand is hinged onto Hard's head. Hard's hand helps Hard on the Hood. It's less hard with a hand.

Hortas are heavy. Hard is heavy. Hard is not too heavy for a Horta. Hard is not too heavy for the Hood.

Can Hortas hear? Who the hell knows… Hortas know. Hard knows. However, Hard uses a modified universal translator that translates his/her thoughts to the crew. That too is concreted into Hard's hard head.

Heavy, hard Hortas live a heck of a long time. However Hard the Horta is hardly that old. Hard was hatched on Janus VI in 2267. So Hard would have to have been on the Hood before it was hurled back in time.

Is Hard a him or is Hard a her? Are Hortas hims and hers? Who knows? Hortas know. Does Hard know? Hard is hardly old enough to know. I guess Huff says that Hard is neither a him nor a her. However for sim Huff can call Hard a he.

Huff is happy to have Hard the hard Horta on the Hood.
