I have spoken briefly with Ambassador tr'Aeolix. The core issues behind the current fleet maneuvers, at least from the Rihannsu perspective, are as follows.

 

The Federation alleges to have evidence of Rihannsu involvement in the recent bombings in the Cardassia area, though they do not consider it conclusive, and have yet to allow it to be examined.

 

The Rihannsu deny knowledge of any involvement.

 

The Rihannsu ask that when the Federation considers their evidence conclusive, that it be examined by neutral third parties before action is taken.

 

The Rihannsu pledge that should any fringe minority Rihannsu political group, acting without knowledge of the Senate, be found responsible, that the Senate will deliver those responsible to justice before the Senate and the intergalactic community.

 

The Rihannsu pledge not to fire first.

 

The Rihannsu consider Aegis station to be a joint Rihannsu, Federation, Ferengi, Klingon and Cardassian station by treaty, and contest Federation claims to sole possession of the station.
