"Caution"

Sar'vek watched Rhean leave the Oira with a touch of concern. The other scientist always tended to worry her -- au could never tell what schemes were going through t'Valae's mind. A worrisome io, she was.

 

She had been rather quick to volunteer for team duty. In fact, a little too quick. A simple desire to see the planet below, or a more sinister wish to ingratiate herself with the operations officer? Or something else entirely? Sar'vek's mind ran wild with the possible reasons for her quick response.

 

Gingerly leaning her forehead against her hand, t'Jhiin sighed. Even dismissing possibilities of plotting little Rhean, she still had yet another bundle of trouble in another form. Something still had to be done about the antics Science's pet N'Dak.

 

Given the command staff's current state of affairs, reprimanding him would be something of a delicate procedure. After all, Sar'vek felt as though she'd maintained a moderately positive or at least neutral relationship with most of the senior and commanding officers, and she definitely did not want Issaha's shortcomings to end up causing an incident between her and his older brother. Still, he was starting to turn her department into a laughingstock, and that was something she simply would and could not have.

 

But one more thing was certain. Caution was going to be the instrumental key here, especially if she had a notion of retaining her current rank and position...
