Liberation, at last! Through the endeavors of my shipmates, my friends, We were saved from the bay of the Scorpiad Fighter. Where it would've brought us, I don't know, and I probably don't want to. If it weren't for the crewmates, I'd probably be imprisoned on a Scorpiad ship, tortured and experimented on.

I've learned through accounts of the battle that our great, invincible enemy is actually vulnerable to our stun phasers. Perhaps we could build on this weakness and actually have a chance at this war, if the enemy doesn't counter this new found knowledge. It would be a great thing indeed to remove the hostilities with the Scorpiad, so that we might actually be able to explore this quadrant outside of the few planets we colonized.

While the Excalibur was busy fighting the great warship, Tandaris and I worked with on the fighter ship to cause it to stop, which at the time, I'm not sure if it was a blessing or a curse. We learned a few things about it, other than the fact it was slimy, and reminded me of Earth's squids. We found a way to interface with the panels and control it somewhat with the use of my tricorder. Though we could use this fighter somehow to conduct some espionage on the Scorpiad, I'd would much rather prefer to get my tricorder back, as we have yet to retrieve it. It was my mother's tricorder during her time on duty, though it had been modified and updated quite a bit for my use. I'd hate to see it stuck in the belly of the "Slimy Squid" as I call it. My mother would probably kill me too if she found what I've done with it. The money to upgrade the thing was supposed to be for some expensive fancy gadget she wanted...

[inside the "Slimy Squid", the tricorder begins flashing, attempting to send a signal to a small home on Earth...]

End Recording.
