Weird, Overstimulated Slave-Things and their Relationship to Normalcy

Don't trust weird, overstimulated slave-things. That's a good rule of thumb for a qel. After all, when was the last time something they said was the truth? Give them a hypo to knock them out, and strap them to a biobed for when they come back to life, teeth gnashing at your fingers.

Then again, you sometimes get a strange case of a weird, overstimulated slave-thing whose wacked, convoluted declarations turn out to be correct. Throws a few kinks in long-held beliefs of good qels everywhere.

And that was just the tip of the iceberg for Tro'NoQ. Toss in a demonically bratty child whose life was about to get just a bit more... chilling... a nurse whose distinguishing features included a knife jammed into his skull, and overgrown waste products who possess some level of sentience.

Normalcy, it seems, reaches new boundaries when on deep-space duty, including on on ships called Qob.

Especially on ships called Qob.
