What is your favorite Babylon-5 quote?

All these discussions about Stargate and Farscape and Enterprise makes me think about Babylon-5 again. I notice that a lot of people use B-5 quotes in their signature blocks and wanted to see if you had a favorite quote from that wrongly-cancelled television masterpiece. Of course, there is the "Ivanova is God" quote that I've seen on t-shirts and mouse pads, but what else do you like?

My favorites are Londo's "My shoes are too tight and I've forgotten how to dance," followed by by Garibaldi's "Wanna come to my quarters? I can show you my 2nd favorite thing in the whole universe," (which happens to be Daffy Duck cartoons)

and yes, my favorite Trek quote is still, "Brain, brain, what IS Brain!?"

I loved Babylon 5, probabbly more than I like Trek. In fact, I try to emulate the same feel Babylon5 had with my Advanced games, but anyway, Londo is awesome and two of his quotes are among my favs.

"I suppose there'll be a war now, hmm? All that running around and shooting at one another. You would have thought sooner or later it'd go out of fashion." -Londo Mollari

And another by Londo.

"There was a time when this whole quadrant belonged to us! What are we now? Twelve worlds and a thousand monuments to past glories. Living off memories and stories, and selling trinkets. My god, man! We've become a tourist attraction. 'See the great Centauri Republic - open 9 to 5 - Earth time'." Londo Mollari

My favorite scene in the series was G'Kar's speech in the council chambers after Narn fell.

"No dictator, no invader, can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power, governments and tyrants and armies can not stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free."

Pretty much anything he or Marcus said could classify as my favorite quote.

Honorable mention goes to Ivanova: "You will resist, I hope?"

There's always the favorite from Bester (aka Walter Koenig, aka Pavel Chekov): The enemy of my enemy is my ally.

My understanding B5 ran it's course, it wasn't cancelled. Now the Crusade spin off thing, that stunk and lasted longer than it should have. Usually I want to know how even a bad show resolved it's running issues...but with Crusade, nope..don't care...let Earth die... less painful than having to watch this mess.

As for quotes, I know I liked the show and it's many one liners but I can't think of any off the top of my head. Have to look an episode or two up on In2TV.

My favorite comes from In the Beginning:

"
I'm not saying anything. I didn't say anything then, and I'm not saying anything now
."

Well, yes and no. It was going to be cancelled, and then it was renewed at the last minute. Which is why 4th season is a little... fast, and 5th is a little... lame. Because all of the important plot-wrap up was squished into 4th, and then there was a scramble to fill 5th with the 'extra' material.

Unfortunately I didn't really get into B5 until the last season on regular TV. The plot of a space station with multiple races looked too much like DS9 which I thought was a mistake that almost killed the Trek franchise, so this couldn't have been much better. It ended up being a quality show and I wish I had been interested earlier.

Mine, of course, is in my signature.

Of course, there's the introduction begining in the Third Season: Babylon 5 was our last best hope for peace. It failed... Said, of course, by Ivanova.

Sounds a lot like the UN nowadays.

Oh my... there are just so many quotes that I love... to name a few I'd start with one of my favorite ones, when Babylon 5 broke off from Earth Alliance:

"This is Ambassador Delenn of the Minbari. Babylon 5 is under our protection. Withdraw, .. or be destroyed."

"Negative. We have authority here. Do not force us to engage your ship."

"Why not? Only one human captain has ever survived battle with the Minbari fleet. He is behind me. You are in front of me. If you value your lives, be somewhere else."

One from Ivanova:

"This is the White Star Fleet. Negative on surrender...we will not stand down."

"Who is this? Identify yourself."

"Who am I? I am Susan Ivanova, Commander, daughter of Andrei and Sophie Ivanov. I am the right hand of vengeance, and the boot that is going to kick your sorry ass all the way back to Earth ... I am Death incarnate, and the last living thing that you are ever going to see. God sent me."

Just name a few. :P

Well, I know my favorite Quote is Ivonova's and thanks to Mr. Anderson's post I know can repeat it!

It was said so cool by Claudia...
