Kell Griffin

Rejoining the Living

Begin Log...

Kell sat a up little straighter as he peered down his microscope. His eyes we're heavy and no doubt slightly bloodshot. Over the last several days he had couped himself up in a science lab trying to find the answers to a couple testing problems Starfleet Sciences had sent out for analyses to select department members, something about a newly discovered "homicidal" amoeba. It had kept him up to ridiculous hours and woken him far to early. The only that kept him going was the constant stream of caffeine he pumped through his system. Kell yawned, rubbed his eyes and tried to focus back on his work.

The midshipman was a bit surprised that SFS had asked him to participate in the research. Having just recently graduated from the academy and a junior officer no less made him wonder what Starfleet was up to. Despite their reasoning let it not be said he was complaining, on the contrary, he was excited over the assignment. It kept him from having to deal with other matters around the station, such as the strange case involving several of the senior staff.

A slight tone beeped from his testing equipment.

"Analyses complete, test confirmed positive. " The female computer voice informed him.

Kell grinned, It seems as though the last several days had paid off. He made sure his results we're recorded in the station's computer then he downloaded his discoveries into a subspace message packet and send it off to the sciences office. It seemed as though Kell could finally rejoin the living and get back to his normal duties.

Kell stood and stretched. It had been far to long since his last break and now that he was done with the project it was time to get some rest before his next normal duty shift.

15 minutes later Kell could be found in his quarters, curled up into a ball, with an unconscious smile of satisfaction, fast asleep.
