"Pleasure Before Business, Part II"

"Pleasure Before Business, Part II"

Starring Kairi, Prell, and Dielle

Prell glared at Dielle, then looked to Kairi. She laughed. "What makes you think we are freedom fighters?"

Dee allowed herself a smile at Kairi's attempted dodge. The fact that she called them "freedom fighters" was enough. "All that time off you gave me allowed me to do my homework. I'm willing to bet you are not who you appear to be. In fact, I placed that bet by coming here tonight."

Kairi fixed her hair a little, covering her ears. She then turned to fix another drink. Prell continued to study Dielle. "So you are something you don't appear to be as well..."

"I'm Risan. Check me if you'd like." She decided not to hold back. She had checked the surveillance on Prell's quarters herself. "Are you really worried I'd sell you out? Do you know what they've done to my people? What they've done to me?" Dee took a moment to compose herself, regaining her usual demeanor. "It's an offer. You don't have to take it."

Kairi turned to give Prell a "what now?" look.

He leaned forward, studying Dielle. "You're saying there's a Risan Resistance?"

She laughed lightly. "Nothing that organized. But we're not just pretty faces."

Prell rubbed his forehead. "I think I need a drink now, Kairi."

Kairi moved over to sit on the bed, handing him the rest of her drink. "Why should we believe you?"

"Because I'm a bigger risk if you don't."

He smirked as he took a sip. "Blackmail."

Kairi remained unconvinced. "So if you say anything, you have no proof. We'd just be put on tight surveillance for a while. No big deal."

She smiled. "Not blackmail, facts. And the fact is, you can't afford to be put on surveillance. You can't lose that time or those resources. You also don't know who my connections are and you don't know what I've already recorded." Dielle leaned forward. "Give me an assignment. I'll show you what I can do."

Kairi turn to Prell. "What do you think?"

He considered Dielle for a bit. "It appears she knows of my security network. I wonder if she can find a way around the electronic buffer around Robair's room."

Kairi pondered his suggestion. "Hmm ...That sounds like a reasonable task." She smiled at Dielle. "Think you can handle it?"

"Consider it done." Dee smiled easily at both of them, hoping she looked convincing enough.

Prell grinned. "Get to it then—I want to know what he gets up to tonight when I come in to work tomorrow morning."

Kairi mirrored his grin, looking at the two of them. "It's settled then. Welcome to the group, I guess."

"And here I was, thinking that once we had gotten done with business, we could get to pleasure." Dielle gave them a wistful look as she moved off the bed. "I'll have a report for you tomorrow morning then, sir." She gave Kairi one last smile before exiting through the door. "You can welcome me later."

"And Dielle?" Prell called out as the doors closed.

She paused. "Yes, chief?"

"No sneaky peeky when you leave us here..."

Kairi gave Prell a quick kiss and rushed out the door after Dielle. She grabbed Dielle, pulling her close. "Just a moment."

Dee didn't resist. "Something else you wanted?"

Kairi smiled as she leaned in. "You owe me after your little interruption."

Without reserve, she looked up at Kairi, moving in and kissing her softly. She knew Prell was probably watching. The thought appealed to her

Prell was indeed watching on his monitor...

Kairi gently returned the kiss, then pulled away smiling. "That'll have to do for now. You have work to do."

"Find me later." Dee flashed her a grin and then disappeared quickly down the hallway before anyone else discovered them.

Kairi watched as Dee left, then walked back into Prell's room smiling, knowing full well he had been watching. "Well, did you enjoy that?"

He smirked. "Was it as good as it looked?"

She grinned as she moved back to the bed. "Yes it was." She sat back behind Prell and began to rub his back. "You look a little tense now. How about some Vulcan pressure point?"

"And miss the fun? I think not. Besides, you need to be punished."

She giggled. "And just how do you intend to punish me?"

He turned and looked into her eyes. "The same as before—except you'll be cleaning my walls as well."
