"Pleasure Before Business, Part I"

"Pleasure Before Business, Part I"

Starring Kairi, Prell, and Dielle

Kairi sat casually sitting on Prell's desk, awaiting his return. She wasn't disappointed. He walked into Main Engineering a few moments later, after his episode with DeChevel and the new Holodeck maid Robair. Crossing to his office, he waited for the door to close behind him.

A hand slipped through the door, causing it to pause and then open again. "Sir, I've been hoping to speak with you." Dielle's voice was pleasant, a contrast to those filtering through from Engineering.

Scowling at Kairi, he turned around. "Yes, Ms. Toren?"

She handed him a PADD. "I think you could find me something more suited to my abilities. These assignments hardly reflect my skills."

He looked at the PADD, noting the rather long list of skills, most prominently her raw terminal interface ones. He gave a look to Kairi. "I'll review these overnight. Why don't you take the rest of the day off?"

The slightest frown passed over Dielle's face before it brightened again. "Of course, sir, thank you. I know just how to spend the extra time." She smiled sweetly at both of them before exiting the room.

Kairi smiled as the door closed, leaving her alone with Prell. "Miss me?"

He made sure the maglocks were sealed. "I sure did babe."

She scooted to the edge of the desk and Prell smoothed back her hair behind her ears, pinching the pointy tips in the process. "DeChevel took a big risk today..."

Kairi brought a finger up to his lips. "Ah ah...You know my rule. Pleasure comes before work."

He scowled. "Only you could be so … energetic … while any second we could be found out."

She giggled a little before moving in for a kiss. Moving closer to his ear, she whispered softly. "Don't forget the walls have eyes and ears."

He kissed her up her neck until he reached her ear. "Shall we relocate to somewhere we'll be undisturbed?"

Kairi wrapped her arms around the back of his neck. "Your place or mine?"

"I didn't think I'd be invited to yours again after what we did two nights ago..."

She laughs. "It took a long time cleaning those walls. Maybe your place is best."

Grinning, he reached over to his monitor and tapped a few buttons before they shimmered away. As they reappeared in Prell's room, Kairi turned and grinned. "I knew there was a reason I liked you. You're so secretive."

He pushed her onto the bed and she landed giggling. "Am I?" he asked. Prell jumped in next to her, stroking her nose. "So this Dielle girl?"

Kairi smiled as she rubbed his ear lobe. "I like her."

He grinned. " I know you too well, babe—where'd you go with her when you left me alone with Robair and DeChevel?"

"I took her for a little ...walk to get to know her more. I think she may be very useful to the cause."

Prell quirked an eyebrow. "I assume you've read her file then?" He teased a finger under the top of Kairi's uniform.

She nodded. "That's why I think she'd be perfect. But enough of that ..." She shifted herself on top of Prell and was beginning to remove her uniform top when the door chimed once, abruptly spoiling the moment. Prell swore. Kairi frowned and paused. "Expecting anyone?"

"Unless it's Robair's henchmen coming after me again, no. Computer - security feeds Alpha Alpha Uno."

A monitor flipped out from the bedside table, showing his doorway. Dielle's face appeared, looking directly into the feed. She smiled into the supposedly hidden camera.

Kairi slowly hopped off the bed, frowning. "You better get it."

Javin swore again. "Mother of..."

"Come!"

As the doors parted, Dielle stepped in, looking at the two of them. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything," she said, knowing for a fact that she was.

He hid his scowl. "Your file doesn't lie, does it Midshipman?" Kairi moved across the room to get a drink, giving a half smile to Dielle.

Dielle caught Kairi's smile, then focused on Prell. "I told you I was good." Prell simply smirked in return.

Kairi turned after pouring a drink. "So what brings you here at this particular moment?"

Dielle eyed her appreciatively. "I concluded my assessment of your surveillance devices on board the ship, and decided you could definitely use me. You aren't hiding your tracks very well. Either of you."

Prell felt his symbiont give a small jump, and he glanced at Kairi. "Surveillance devices?"

Kairi smirked, obviously impressed. She took a sip of her drink. "And what tracks might we be hiding?"

"Surely I don't have to recite the list to you?" Dielle dropped her smile for a moment and looked at them both. "Everyone knows the two of you are in bed together. You could use someone a bit more ... ambiguous." She moved to the bed slowly, uninvited. "Though not everything needs to be kept ambiguous in private."

Prell smirked again. "Everyone also knows the feline and our new Maid are in bed together."

Kairi smiled as she put her drink down and eyed Prell. "See, I told you I liked her."

He looked back at her. "So you did. Tell me, Dielle—what have Kairi and I gotten ourselves into?"

Dee looked at them evenly, her gaze lingering on the tips of Kairi's ears. "I know resistance fighters when I see them."
