D'Mysus Ramson

The Questioning of Muon Quark

It wasn't a job he liked, questioning fellow officers. But there was a reason they'd asked him to do this; his old ties to the name Aegis, his years in security, his current responsibilities as chief of tactical operations in the nearby Canar sector, his empathic and telepathic abilities, and his experience dealing with civilian and Starfleet interactions. D'Mysus looked at Commander Muon and proceeded with his job.

"Who gave the order to hold the Gorn ship?"

Muon hesitated before answering. "Commander Hawke." She replied tightly.

"And where was Hawke when she gave the order?"

A frown crossed Muon's lips. "She was in sickbay with Captain Ayers. It was right after he had been attacked by the Rixian."

Continuing quickly along, "Where were you?"

"I was searching the Captain's quarters with JoNs and then I went down to sickbay to ensure the Rixian was secure, see how the Captain and Ethan was doing, and to question Ethan about the attack. The Captain was unconcious at the time."

"Who gave the order to beam the Gorn crew off their ship?"

Tightly and with another hesitation, "Hawke."

"Did Ambassador Joy, DURING the events, inform anyone of the diplomatic and legal consequences of these actions?"

Muon raises an eyebrow as if a new thought had occurred to her: "No. I don't believe so. As a matter of fact, after the incident I had to kick that Mudd Ambassador off the CT. She was snooping around, looking for information."

"I will be wanting to ask her some questions as well." Commander Ramson relaxed back in his chair. "Too much happened too quickly and I think some judgements were come to just as quickly." D'Mysus stood. "I thank you for your information, I won't tell Drankum you didn't charge me for it." With a wink he turned back towards the door.

Muon let out a snort. "Don't try to get on my good side Commander."

Stopping just before the doorway the Commander turned his head. "One last question, How much warning did the Admiral and Captain give of the incoming presence of so many diplomats? Was ANY diplomatic training or refresher courses even offered?"

Muon sighed tiredly. "We hardly had anytime to prepare and no, no refresher training or courses. You have to understand that Aegis has recently become more of a diplomatic hub rather than a military presense. We all, meaning the command staff, should have remembered to have diplomatic training and some refresher courses."

"I see." Ramson turned and looked down in thought. Without saying anything else D'Mysus continued out the door.
