USS Agincourt Simlog

July 25, 2397: The Agincourt arrives at Melkas III, and a team beams down to speak with the governor. All seems quiet and routine, until some univited guests decide to crash the party...

TBS: < 1 minute

"I need your signatures... on all of these..."

"What did you do, requisition a starship?"

"And what's in it for me?" -- Borel, Rieve, and Day, on a small mountain of paperwork

"Anyway, your job is to nod at everything I say." -- Davies explains Prell's very important assignment

"Really? I heard the rumor was that you botched your last mission, so they gave you an easier one... but you know how the rumor mill works..."

"Yes, the rumor mill is quite troublesome these days. For instance, I had heard that you only had a third eye because of a disease similar to radiation that you barely survived, so we all hear some, well, unlikely stories." -- Governor Toin and Robair, Diplomacy 101

"Petty Officer, this is JoNs. I need some backup regarding some interflux readings that are going on on the other side of the planet..."

"Confirmed. Getting some, um, anomalous readings. Exact specifics unknown at present..."

"I'll send you what I have so far. Anomalous. Yes."

"There are some similarities to the anomaly we just came across a few weeks ago, Sir. Confirmed on secondary readings. Similarly proportioned wavelengths to the last anomaly." -- JoNs and Condacin provide a stunning example of how to say 'I don't know what it is, but it's weird' in Official Starfleet Language
