Hans, my dear friend, a Shuttle could take down the Falcon. After all, she is the fastest hunk of junk in the SW galaxy.

Death Star vs. Enterprise-E? No contest.

The Executor? Made mincemeat by even NX-01.

TIE Fighters? Now there's a problem. Starfleet doesn't carry fighters, and I doubt the targeting system is agile enough for swarms of sublight fighters.

Two words: Cowboy Diplomacy. Original Series totally.

Obi Wan Kenobi: Alright now, the Jedi are not here to cause any trouble we are diplomats of peace. Let's all discuss this in a calm manner.

Anakin Skywalker: ::stands there looking all brooding::

Yoda: The proper way, negotiation is of peace

Captain Kirk: Assessment Mr. Spock?

Spock: Fascinating.

McCoy: Nice sword ::to Kenobi::

Captain Kirk. Right then. Phasers! ::he stuns Kenobi::

:P

You forgot Kirk leering at Padme, or any of the female Jedi from the movies...

Ah my friend but they do..... during some of the larger battles of the Dominion war in DS9 you see Sisko ordering around squadrons of fighters. You also see those fighters attack Cardassian and Jem'Hadar ships on screen. Expecially in the episode "Sacrifice of Angels" where Sisko uses Federation fighters to create of hole in the Cardassian lines so he can get to DS9.

I agree they may not be as common but they do exist.

What you have to remember about Star Wars technology in any of the 6 movies is it was long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away. I think Lucas said the events of Star Wars took place in roughly our 17th-18th century but I don't know what he based that on (other than being Lucas). So imagine how far that technology has progressed by the 24th century.

I voted ST:TOS as my favorite. But best...they are two totally different stories so they aren't comparable.

As for technology, that's a little hard to say. Star Trek weapons seem to have alot more kick but Star Wars hyperdrives can go anywhere in the Galaxy. ST shielding seems alot better that SW. SW capital ships are larger but ST are more manuverable.

If the two universes went to war, early on SW would be winning with greater numbers and able to excape to anywhere in the galaxy to regroup and repair. Then ST engineers would come up with something and that would be it.

OK, here is how it breaks down:

Lasers vs Phasers / Disruptors. Advantage: Trek

Shields vs Shields. Advantage: Trek (Wars shields, with the exception of Endor, are easy to take out.)

Tie Interceptors vs Shuttles. Advantage: Wars

Lightsabers vs nothing. Advantage: Wars.

Capital Ships vs Starships (ability to absorb damage, unshielded). Advantage: Wars.

Capital Ships vs Starships (ability to inflict damage). Advantage: Wars.

Hyperspace vs Warp Drive. Advantage: Wars.

Solo vs Kirk. Advantage: Wars.

Padme vs T'Pol. Advantage: Wars.

Death Star vs nothing. Advantage: Wars.

C-3PO vs Data. Advantage: Trek

C-3PO vs Wesley Crusher. Advantage: Too close to call.

Wookie vs. Klingon. Advantage: Don't know, but it's gonna be messy either way.

And the ultimate test:

Stormtrooper vs. Red Shirt. Advantage: Wars.

ROFL!!!(try putting Ewoks vs. Red Shirt)

Star Trek will win agenst Star Wars. The death star is the most powerful thing in Star Wars, and it has serious flaws that could get it distroyed easly. Star Trek has all kind of powerful torpedos, and plus they have armor and shields like 1000 time better then Wars shields. I'd say if you put 5 Wars fleet (Dominion War type fleet which is around 100 ships) and one Trek fleet, I'd say Trek would win easy, losing less then 10 ships.

Jar Jar Binks vs Garak, Advantage: Yes! :P

I'd rather take competent, yet annoying over incompetent and annoying.

Advantage: Garak
