"Farewell"

Davies' Logs

Captain Simeon Davies

Commanding Officer

USS Agincourt NCC-81762

Somehow, a Captain always knows his final voyage. Sitting in command of the tertiary section, something inside of him told him that he would be going in with his crew, but not coming out. For Davies, this was the end. It was clear that he would not be the one to see their mission to completion.

Yet, ends are not always bad things, for ends themselves produce new beginnings. So in a sense, this was not his final voyage, but a gateway to new life and hope. There was a greater calling on his life, and it was his responsibility to respond.

Someday he will return, and in the twinkling of an eye, all things will become new. Until that time…

“Farewell.”
