New Places, New Faces

USS Arcadia

 

(this log takes place before Arcadia goes "kaboom" during Pheonix Project Testing.)

 

Computer... >>BEGIN LOG<<

 

Well, well, well. What a day it has been.

 

It's been two months since the crew has been serving on the Arcadia, as it was being retro-fitted to accmodate the updates needed for Lt. Brighton's Pheonix Project. Oh, what things that engineer could come up with. But I wasn't to complain, it was 2 months off of the hectic, always something wrong, life aboard Arcadia. I finally go to go to a few conventions and conferences, and relaxed a bit on the station.

 

When it came time for Arcadia to take off again, I was ready to get back into the swing of things in Sickbay. I had just finshed arranging my desk, when the XO called me up to the observation lounge. As it turns out, it was a big blur now that I look back, with him laying down the offer to transfer to the Science Department as it's chief.

 

For the few brief seconds my mind processed everything, many things flashed by. Memories of Sickbay, flashbacks of laughing and having fun with Avery, Miranda, Andrea and Merri, "fixing" the various injuries that came into Sickbay. Change is not something I can do easily, but I had promised myself years back that I would take any oppurtunity to rise up and be noticed.

 

"Yes, Yes Sir."

 

And with that, I changed from one teal uniform to another. Was it a good choice? Only time will tell.
