"Taking Responsiblity"

Personal Log

Chief of Security Lt. Murdok Helios

“Taking Responsibility”

Just like that from lieutenant to the chief of security for Excalibur in the blink of an eye. Graham had to leave for undisclosed reasons and now I was put in charge the job I had all ways wanted. Although this change in position came quicker then I had planned it’s a welcomed development.

The task of taking command of security won’t be easy, I have worked with these men and I believe I have gained their trust. At the end they reported to Graham so it’s up to me to make the transition as smooth as possible. I’m glad to have great officers working with me Atticus Segami and our new filter pilot Kallah Ramson.

Now for the dreaded paper work that comes with any promotion in StarFleet. Its one of the things that you deal with and it shouldn’t be a problem. I will be eager to implement new security protocols and possibly rework the duty roster. After that I might redecorate the security office, Andorians aren’t know for there style.

The Scorpiads are a very cunning adversary, to flank us and get in-between us and the wormhole was a unexpected move. Our plan to take it back will not be easy, I trust my crewmates and I wont let them down on my side of the mission. First task is to assemble the fire teams that will take the Scorpaids ship from them. After that I will coordinate with Engineering to incorporate the new weapon into the fighters. I’m glad to see Ensign Ramson take the lead on that project.
