"Cups of Tea"

"Cups of Tea"

Lt. T'Parek

July 4, 2156

(OOC Note - This takes place before the game of July 02. )

T'Parek entered the mess hall of the NX-01, glancing about herself curiously.

In so many ways, Enterprise seemed almost antiquated. It had a few creaks and groans where Challenger did not. For the Fleet's flagship, it was almost on the downward slope of its working life. Not that it wasn't well cared for or unloved. T'Parek knew that it was in the top condition that the chief engineer, Charles Tucker, could have her in. The only things it was running against were mileage and age, not to mention damage from the Vulcans, Andorians, Romulans, the Xindi. Despite its faults, it was a good ship. Not Challenger, but good nonetheless.

She looked at the beverage replicators for an appraising moment, debating whether or not she wanted to try one of the "exotic" drinks available. Enterprise had a Vulcan officer aboard, a Commander T'Pol, but whether or not she had properly adjusted the replicator to prepare authentically Vulcan drinks had yet to be determined.

It was worth a shot, she supposed. And if Enterprise's drink selection was shoddy, she'd just have one more thing to be thankful for aboard Challenger.

She took a few quick steps towards the unit, adjusting a silver mug beneath the dispenser as she placed her order. "Ka'van tea, hot."

It only took a moment for the pale, green-amber drink to materialize inside the cup. Aroma seemed good, a properly streaked appearance ... and a taste remarkably true to the Vulcan version.

Both ships' Vulcans seemed to have done a good job acquainting their crewmates with refreshments from their homeworld. And perhaps constants like that was what united Starfleet with its own unique internal entities -- and with the other spacefaring cultures.

In T'Parek's humble little view, the Coalition was serving its purpose.
