"Pieu-Pieu and Cookies"

Pieu-Pieu looked at his little pet dungbeetle and smiled. Cookies had been a good friend for many months, and it showed. Cookies went everywhere with Pieu-Pieu, and Pieu-Pieu went everywhere with Cookies.

 

Cookies even had a jewel-encrusted collar and leash. Yes, Cookies was a spoiled little beetle. She had the finest dung on Shakkar to eat, and purified, bottled water to get her liquids from.

 

How would his new colleagues like Cookies? Surely they had pets of their own. Yesss... exotic, non-mammalian pets. Those wiggling worms that he'd glimpsed, in bowl-like, specially refrigerated cages. How kind they were to their ... what did they call them ... gagh?

 

Pieu-Pieu was sure that Cookies and the rest of the Shakkarian natives would fit in well. Now that the nice doctor Tro'NoQ was going to help them smell even nicer than they already did, Pieu-Pieu was sure that he'd make lots of friends for Cookies and him. Wouldn't they?
