Perth-class Freighter

 

The Perth-class freighter was a cost-savings measure, implemented by the UFP Merchant Marine, utilizing the Oberth-class research vessel primary and secondary hulls and systems. The secondary hull has been completely stripped of all scientific equipment and the forward ventral sensor dome replaced with a shuttered door, allowing entry into the secondary hull’s cargo area. Within the primary hull are the bridge, a forward-facing light shuttlebay, and crew and passenger accommodations. A forward-facing phaser array provides a small measure of defense.
