::Blu stood on the bridge, watching the warning lights flash, the screens with their warning lamps flashing, the beep of systems failing and beginning to fail...and through it all...for the first time since taking over from Ender, felt totally lost as to what was happening.

::it had been some time since she had been on her own bridge, having to monitor from the confines of Ann's office and her biobed.  Yet it still hadn't totally hit her, as she was still a bit in shock from seeing her assailant....and assailant she had assumed had been dealt with, with incarceration for life. ::

::Why had he been freed?  Why was he working for SF intell.?  He was nothing more than an animal, and they had sent her to retrieve him.  Him of all people.  She had wanted to fry that animal herself, to shred him 5 ways to Sunday, but in her postion, wasnt' allowed such a luxury...actually, in any position, she wouldnt have be allowed to...but it did make her refrain from going on the original away team.  She would have almost rathered to have seen

her mission fail, rather then help him, but the information that he had supposedly retrieved, would save thousands of lives, moving ships and personnel out of harms way.::

::She knew why...why he was used, he was a ruthless animal, that could get to the places he needed to go, and could dispose of those in his way, but did that justify any lives he took along that way?  How much was one life over another?  He had almost cost her life once before, and again this time, along with several more of her crew...and all she kept seeing, was that snarling grimmace upon his face.  Someone at fleet had better be ready for a major

round of correspondance, because she wanted to file a complaint, and she wanted to see someone's butt in a sling for this screwup...::

::Shaking her head to try to clear the memory, she tried to take in all that was happening here.  Again, this was his fault, she wasnt prepared for this because she had wasted time, and time of her medical staff trying to recover.  Mundt had told her she would be ok, so she decided that it was time to get back to what she was supposed to do.  Granted, she still had limited use of her arm, with some numbness and pain depending how she moved, and her

voice was still scratchy, but she had to get herself pulled back up somehow.  She would have to depend on those around her, Ann, TKai, Marak, Teri, and the rest of her crew, for the most part, good people all around....::
