Aegis Website

I was looking up information on different sims. I'm having a problem accessing the Aegis website - as in my connection is too quick so it finishes loading the tribute video before I can click "skip" and there is no option out of it once it starts. I'd really like to be able to refer back to the site without sitting through that whole thing again.

 

Can this be fixed? Is there a link you can give that will bypass the intro?

To quick? ::blinks:: I've had DSL, Cable and T3 and I've never had that problem.

yeah I had the same problem. everytime I would access the site I had to watch the entire video......... drove me crazy. I think Ive memorized that list and the song is stuck in my head....

Actually, seems I failed to update the server to match what was on my PC. Copy I had included an override...so...site updated. :)

I do the same thing with the Aegis page, Travis. Sadly, I read down the list at the same time, and there are a whole lot more people I've never heard of than I had. So, I just figure that two or three years from now, there are going to be people working just who is HD? And they won't bother to ask, since they don't really care. :)

That might be true if I was the same age as the photo when Aegis started, but I wasn't. You can Photoshop an old photo just as well, you know...

I can vouch for Sorehl's advanced age! Sorehl was my first advanced sim CO...six years ago this month. Since all GMs had to be over 18 and he had been part of the Aegis Command Staff since almost the beginning of time, that would make him.... Of course, he must've not been able to handle my presence and retired shortly after I came aboard.

 

I think I have those sound clips still around where Sorehl says "Welcome to Starbase Aegis." WAV files were so vogue back in the day.
