Funny Video

I was searching the web for star trek stuff when I found this video. It is a feature-length scifi parody, mainly poking fun at Star Trek and Babylon 5. Produced during seven years by a group of friends. After being released as a free download Star Wreck (click on the title to see it) became a internet hit with millions of downloads and worldwide publicity. The film combines world-class visual effects, dark humour, and a passion that provide the basis for the first-ever Finnish science fiction adventure. You must watch. It is the funniest video ever.

Warning: Not in english but has english subtitles and is 1 hr 43 min. Must do a lot of reading.

Here are some more fan film sites.

New Voyages is probably the best out there. They have "Real" TV and movie folks helping out with it, including Walter Koenig and Gearge Takei!

Umm, this one is....prolific. Good CGI but all the live action takes place in what must be a 10X10 room. Get ready to be blue screened to death. The best actors in this are either rarely shown, put in bizzar make up, or ...let's just say they would never pass a Starfleet physical.

Only two episodes and I don't believe this one is being produced anymore, since the last part of the last episode hasn't been finished or updated...in over a year. The first episode is Really campy but the second is actually not bad...except that it isn't finished and looks never to be.

This one is still in production and hasn't been released yet. But, go check it's link page out and you'll find ALOT of other fan film sites.

This sounds like Star Wrekker ; an unbelievably great Spoof of Star Trek meeting Babylon 5.

I was fortunate to have a friend at work learn I was a Trek/Babylon 5 fan who loaned me the DVD. Despite the subtitles (the original work is Finnish); It was unbelievably hysterical..and the special effects are well above your generic spoof..Heck they are excellent (almost equal to B5 graphics if not better); and I tend to be picky in this area.

All names in this is film are cleverly done...Kirk is now..."Pirk" and Ivonova is now "Ivonitsa". And the encounter these two have against eachother is amusing.

I highly recommend this for fans of both series...it's a great laugh. If I could borrow it again and take it to Shoreleave I would!!

I liked the character of Fu.... um ..... their version of Chekov. If you notice the same actor who played him plays the Babylon5 character that Walter Koenig played.

Yes there were the names.

I just feel I had to remention this...and despite this being a spoof with comedy that pokes fun at both TV series..is the computer graphics in Star Wrekker. I hate to give away a scene..but the Enterprise E (which had a joke name) being sawed apart by Excalibur (another joke name).looked straight out of a scene from Babylon 5 with a Minbari Cruiser getting sawed into two by a Shadow Vessel.

I guess I am so used to spoofs like SNL's "Love Boat meets TNG Parody".
