Ne'Arrain Sar'vek t'Jhiin

Sar'vek stood with her shipmates in the shuttlebay, horrified.

 

The spectacle before her was na the just punishment of a Galae officer with an honorable record. It was all-out torture and humiliation, na doubt brought about by a vendetta against t'Rexan.

 

Whose vendetta it was, precisely, was no mystery to the scientist. One could almost imagine that N'Dak had enjoyed his part in the proceedings. And even though the philosophy of 'complaining won't help' might have made things easier for t'Rexan, for Elements' sakes, the principle of having Talon crew directly responsible for her sufferings made t'Jhiin ill.

 

T'Temarr had been in the right with what she did, even if in the end it had turned out to be the wrong course of action. The engineer had honor, Sar'vek would grant her that.

 

But when they restarted the punishment, Sar'vek wondered if this had gone even beyond vengeful punishment to an attempt to yy'a their enarrain. It certainly seemed that way.

 

She began to worry. What would happen if she was yy'a? What would happen to Talon? To all of her crew, from the senior staff down to the newest ereins?
