Outpost Repair Plot

Recap 04.26.06

Repaired, the Agincourt departs Starbase 11 on an easy mission -- repair an unmanned outpost damaged by one of the other hijacked ships. The crew has the opportunity to enjoy a little downtime, and meet some new faces.

Sisson is one such face, welcomed to the NNC by Rieve and put straight into the traces with a new squad and a new training program.

Condacin, another new arrival, enters the main science lab and almost immediately discovers a personality conflict with her colleagues. A bit of sniping against Prospera leads into an altercation with Kroells, which culminates in a broken nose for him and a security escort for her.

Murray proudly shows off the new face of a repaired Main Engineering to Prell, before arrival at the outpost intrudes on the engineering glow. They ready a team for transport, including Spitfire and two other security officers.

Levy and Contagion discuss one of their own new faces briefly, then Levy pays a visit to the bridge while Contagion finishes some paperwork.

All's quiet on the bridge, with Davies and Pilot chatting idly about the new mission, and Robair surprising JoNs by not scolding her over an altercation on the starbase.

Recap 05.03.06

Routine and non-routine mix on the Agincourt as its 'quiet' mission continues.

Davies and Pilot monitor the teams on the outpost from the bridge, while at the other end of the ship Harper, Day, and Merril are settled in the NNC discussing performance evaluations.

Robair has been called to the science lab to deal with the altercation between Kroells and Condacin. Getting attitude from Condacin seems to irritate him; he stuns her, then reports to Harper and receives instructions to escort her to the XO's office. Kroells takes off for sickbay to have his nose seen to.

Sickbay is humming with activity, as Levy and Contagion have decided to catch up on required physicals. Their first victim is Prospera. Sometime later, Robair joins the party in order to have a word with Kroells of the newly-unbroken nose.

Harper leaves the NNC to deal with Condacin, but the Marines are soon joined by Rieve, who has just finished putting her team through a tough simulation. The results of the exercise are hashed over, and some new technology is discussed.

Over on the outpost, it's anything but a quiet day. Prell and Kairi are working on repairs, but find themselves distracted by worrying noises and a loss of contact with one of their team. Meanwhile, their security escort, in the form of Spitfire and Sisson, is dealing with a pair of nasty-tempered dogs. Things are further complicated when the canines' owners turn up, leveling phasers at the Away Team and threatening to kill Williams, the missing engineer.

Recap 05.10.06

Quiet times continue on some parts of Agincourt. In the NNC, Day and Rieve test new armor. Condacin, dismissed by Harper, returns to the science lab, where she and Kroells make tentative overtures towards a truce. A little later, Merril proves that not everyone's afraid of the Xenexian with a knife, hitting it off with Condacin immediately.

But for others, the peaceful mission is shattered. On the outpost, the leader of the refugees introduces himself as Tobias, and explains to Prell, Kairi, and Spitfire that they are peaceful people, despite holding Williams hostage. They want transport to the colony Travae, about 18 hours away.

Davies is aware of this via Prell's open commline, and contacts Harper to discuss the matter, while JoNs runs a background check on Tobias, and Pilot keeps an eye on the Away Team. Deciding that they can handle the refugees, Davies orders Robair to make secured quarters ready, and transports them over.

Meanwhile, in sickbay, new arrival Reen is getting the two-bit tour from Contagion while Levy examines the puppies beamed over from the outpost earlier, which are behaving oddly. She calls in Kroells to assist. Shortly after she notices an odd sticky substance on their fur, she begins to feel feverish and disoriented.

Upon beaming back to the Agincourt, Kairi also begins exhibiting symptoms similar to Levy's. Prell tries to keep her comfortable while they wait for a doctor, a wait complicated by the fact that Kroells has ordered Sickbay into quarantine.

Tobias confesses to Robair that they had deliberately seeded a virus as an added bargaining chip, and adds that the cure they carried was lost or stolen sometime in their travels. Robair promptly advises the captain to place the entire ship on lockdown, in order to slow the spread of the virus.

It amazes me everytime something goes crazy in sickbay we go straight to quarantine. The worst part of it is that I have never been the one to call for that. Oh well. I am loosing my mind in the current plot anyway.

Well, now, let's be fair... Once was a security lockdown, not a quarantine.

When you get your mind back, perhaps your subordinates need a Talking To?

Oh never mind that. This is all just an elaborate scheme by Jamie to cough on Davies and overthrow the ship.

Jamie: Mutiny by post nasal drip? Who'd a thought.

Doctor Levy: so basically, since your losing your mind, I can liberate some hypos again and you would have no idea this time right?

So basically we have a quarantined sickbay, the ship on lockdown, and a virus running rampant, and our ancient Nepalian monk following religious guests (whose beliefs mirror current and past galactic events) caused all this?

Just another day at the Starfleet Office. Woo!

Recap 05.17.06

The virus has claimed Levy and Sisson, who are in Sickbay, more-or-less concious at various times. Kroells is not far behind them, although fighting the symptoms. Reen, trapped in the quarantined sickbay, so far remain immune to the virus's effects, and struggle to cope with their various patients while searching for a cure.

Prell and Kairi are still in the transporter room, and Kairi's condition is worsening. Contagion attempts to stabilize her before they all transport to the quarantine zone.

Davies, in consultation with Harper, orders the ship into a lockdown. All non-essential personnel are barred from decks 6, 7, and 8, and only a skeleton crew is placed on duty stations. Lounges and other rec facilities are off limits; the crew is ordered into biohazard suits. JoNs is kept busy coordinating the security patrols keeping order aboard.

As the only doctor not in quarantine, Delphi sets up the Triage Facility on deck 9 as a base of operations for the cure research. Merril and Pilot are enlisted to help, based on their medical training, as well as Condacin for her background in biosciences.

Rieve is working with the Marines to back up regular security forces, as well as prepare to fill in for essential crew that fall ill. Day helps to set up a secondary quarantine region in Cargo Bay 3, then joins the security patrols.

Recap 05.27.06

Davies and Pilot are on the Bridge, managing the vaccine-production efforts and keeping an eye on the refugees. Harper is managing her crew from the NNC, while Robair roams the deck that once housed Agincourt's prisoners, who have finally been transferred to Federation officials on Travae.

In Sickbay, Levy, Sisson, and Kairi are suffering from symptoms accompanying the virus. Down in the Tertiary Sickbay, Delphi is testing an experimental antidote on Prell, finally liberated from quarantine in the transporter room. Due to the shortage of healthy doctors, Delphi has inoculated Merril so that he can assist in Sickbay.

Investigating a possible antidote on the planet Travae, Day, JoNs, Rieve, and Condacin barter with a potential supplier, Articus. Unfortunately, Articus demands a rather steep price for his goods -- a night with JoNs.

That thought did occur to me as well. Gotta love the crazy loner "did you just look at me funny...let me stab you with my Rihan type techniques!" science guy. :-p

I know the 'Court has gone off from the "mysterious distress signal" onto the missing Kem'tor plot, but I just grabbed the last mission thread.

Kem'tor (Klingon Chancellor I believe?) is missing, and the 'Court has been pulled to go find him.

A couple of problems here: (not really)

1.) Who IS the admiral that assigned the mission, and where is the usual contact - Puckett? Can we be sure that that WAS Starfleet Command? That Admiral did seem very jumpy.

2.) The "orders to be cut en route" - translation "Disavow any knowledge of 'Courts mission".

3.) And that subspace rift found by the destroyed freighter? Could that have caused a ripple effect somehow? Again, could it have affected the 'Court....maybe the orders to check into the Kem'tor situation really *weren't* received?

Woo Hoo. :)

K'torem Senok, actually. A scientist... who's been mentioned before, but you need to have sharp eyes and a good memory to know what he's done that might be newsworthy...

As for the other queries, well, that would be telling. Though to #1: the admiral was in fact an admiral, and Puckett doesn't have jurisdiction over this region of space. I should probably name Admiral Jumpy, huh?

And an apology on my part -- I'll get the new thread/recaps up ASAP, I promise!
