"Mixed-Up Muddled-Up Shook-Up World"

"Mixed-Up Muddled-Up Shook-Up World"

Lt. T'Parek

April 26, 2156

Well I’m not dumb but I can’t understand

Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man...

...Girls will be boys and boys will be girls

It’s a mixed up muddled up shook up world...

"Lola", The Kinks

-------

An age-old cliche kept popping into her mind again, and again, and again.

It's not easy being green...

T'Parek looked at the Engineering consoles again, the sight of the written Orion language startling her out of her verdant reverie. The Orion language was an exceedingly difficult one, harder to master in its written form than to speak. Still, a few key words jumped out at her. 'Environmental'. 'Control'. 'Access'.

As they waited for the synthetic pheromone to permeate the ship, the Vulcan had a chance to contemplate her situation for a moment. Possibly because of the fact that she was drenched in pheromones and dressed to kill, T'Parek found herself the object of some curious glances on the parts of some male crewmen. A fascinating glimpse into the male human psyche. Despite the fact that they were also green, drenched in pheromones, and dressed to kill, they still focused on her. Illogical...

Glancing around at the officers assembled, the green Vulcan happened to catch a glimpse of herself in the gleamingly polished panel. Besides noting with a degree of interest that their would-be slave master kept his ship surprisingly clean, she noticed exactly how Orion her expression really did look. Almost frightening, in a way. She wasn't even working that hard at it.

As she turned her attentions back to the job at hand, she raised an eyebrow as a final thought came to mind.

It willl be one very mentally confused crew when we return to the ship...
