Better Days

Kairi quietly remaind working on her little "project" in Prell's office. His office surely has seen better days. There were parts from the Chief's replicator littered on the floor, his desk communicator stripped and disruptor burns and scarring on the wall closest to engineering.

 

Quickly Kairi began switching and rearranging parts to get her makeshift sensor to work. Honestly she didn't think about how it was going to work, just that it was. Her engineering mind had taken over and was frantically calculating.

 

After several moments of adjustments and a quick call to the bridge, Kairi was ready to use her device. One of two things was going to happen. Either she'd be successful and provide tactical with at least a sense of what they were dealing with, or she'd die sooner than the rest of the crew.

 

For some reason though her mind focussed on neither. Instead all she could worry about was what Prell was going to do once he found out about his office and his replicator...
