Competition results

In the category of "best log by a GM": Congratulations go to Cmdr. Jami Farrington of USS Manticore for the log Nede Prime Directive and to Col. C.E. Harper of USS Agincourt for Before and After. Each received 10 of the 32 votes cast.

 

In the category "best log by a non-GM player": The winner is Black Widow, by Erein Sar'vek t'Jhiin of RES Talon with 11 votes of 43 votes cast (nearly 25%!). Coming in second was Mary's Last Will and Testament (USS Manticore), with 7 votes, and third What happens on Risa ... stays on Risa (USS Reaent), a joint log by eagle and Kawalas.

 

In the category "Best writing style in a single player log": The winner is Col C.E. Harper's (USS Agincourt) Before and After, with a slim margin of victory over Cpt Huff's (USS Hood) What would a cockroach do? and Erein Sar'Vek's (RES Talon) Black Widow. A total of 44 votes were cast.

 

In "best writing style in a joint log," the winner is An Unexpected Solution by Nicholas LePage and D.J. McKinny (Sky Harbor Aegis), with 21 of 27 votes.

 

In the foreign logs category: The winner is Erein Sar'Vek's (RES Talon) Black Widow (14 votes) followed closely by Erei'Riov N'Dak's Power: Temptation, Corruption, Destruction (12 votes). 30 votes cast.

 

In the category of best use of technology or technobabble: The winner is Proximity Alert by Lt. Admiran (USS Excalibur), with 9 of 26 votes. A close second was Mid. Contagion's (USS Agincourt) . . . And I Will Do No Harm, with 7 votes.

 

In the special category, "Best attempt to find a loophole in the competition rules," Dumbass (Red Star Nightclub) won for Fall of the Champ. The final joke is on him, as he also lost 12 times over.

 

All winners may now pat themselves on the back.
