"Final Goodbye"

Begin Log...

Chell took a seat in his quarters on the Excalibur. So much had happend over the last couple days it was hard to take it all in. The Chief Science Officer was dead as well as the Chief of Operations whoes body had been lost in the vastness of space . They had taken on a new Lieutenant Commander as the CSCI as well as a new ensign in the science department. Chell still morned the death of Chen. Even though he hadn't known him all that well he could still feel the impact of his death throught the ship. He stood and exited his quarters heading for the morgue. Once he arrived he approached several bodies of crewman who had died during the now what was called. "The Defence of Camelot." by some of the enlisted men.

"Yeah and I'm the bloody black knight." Chell thought to himself as he looked over all-to-quite room.

On the far side of the room was a human male. His Brown hair had a strange twinge of blue mixed with the dark color. One side of his face was completed charred and burned and when you got close you could smell burnt flesh. His thin eyes starred blankly into space. Chell approached Lieutenant Commander Zack Chen and looked overr his disfigured face. A dark blue sheet covered him from the neck down consealing the rest of his body. Chell felt and overwhealming sence of failure when he saw the bodies of men who had died on his watch, especially one of such importance as the senior science officer. Chell swiped his hands over his eyes closing them ending Chen's last look at the real world. He leaned over and hit a stud that caused the table the body was laying on to sink into the wall. The end of the table hit the wall with a soft "thud" sealing the corpse.

"Good bye my friend...."

Chell went from table to table, body to body sealing them in untill they would be tranfered to a cargo bay in torpedo caseings and flags before being jettisoned into space. Once his task was completed and the last corpse was sealed Chell exited the morgue placing a security lock on the door so that the brave me and women woulnt be disturbed.

He turned and walked away never to see his crewmates, his friends, again.
