Segami's Past Lives

Heya!

 

Would you fancy creating my character's previous lives?

 

A while back Loami did this same thing during the zhian'tara ceremony where a trill meets all their symbiont's previous hosts. However unlike Loami I wish to have an idea of who the Segami symbiont was hosted by previously from the very start in order to make certain quirks part of my character... sooooooo I have decided to hold a sort-of competition for people to come up with the stories of Segami's previous lives. It would be really cool if you could help and its excellent log-writing practice. I also suppose that since they're part of my advanced sim character they could also be used as entries into the log writing competition itself (by the writer of course!).

 

Atticus Segami is a security officer onboard the Excalibur and the ninth host of the Segami symbiont meaning that there are 8 possible stories to be written. If more than 8 are written I may have to be evil and pick the ones which fit the best together! B)

 

The stories can be as detailed as little or as much as you all like. Could be several pages, could be just a couple of paragraphs. Do whatever you feel sums up the character. Oh and remember, if you want to show how the character got killed you get to choose whatever horrible method of disposing of me as you like!

 

To make things less clogged up, please send your entries to me via PM and then I will update this post in a willy wonka "golden ticket" fashion.

Cheers! Oh but I must note that unlike a few of Loami's stories, the logs shouldn't really be a conversation with Atticus as he's not yet going through with the zhian'tara.

 

 

Lets say the current deadline is a few weeks, I don't want too much pressure, but hey I don't wanna wait till my beard goes grey.

I don't see a problem with this, as long as it's posted up on the STSF boards as well in the normal manner for your advanced sim (Excalibur. You'll have to clear whether non-members of Excalibur can post logs to the Excal boards with your CO and XO) during the log competition's submission period. Any logs entered into the official log competition for Images' previous hosts will count as the one log submittable by the author.

You know...it might be a good idea to simply commission people. Let people send in their basic ideas...and then YOU pick the seven that work well together...and then they can expand on them together, maybe with interlocking stories, rather than seven random stories coming together.

 

Just a thought. Hope it helps.

If I get for instance, two deaths during the dominion war, it really won't make sense! I'm gonna let writers do as much of their own creative writing as they can and am only gonna try to edit it with them if something is really out of place. But thanks for clearing it up Smith if I wasn't clear before. :D

I could write past lives for Segami myself but I'd really love it if it were formed from the thoughts of several minds and because it would be nice to get several members of our forum involved. Oh and if you get 'em in reasonably quick you can still enter 'em into the log contest!

Hmph, I'm quite distressed. Usually most of STSF is absolutely gagging to write log things, especially when its part of character creation yet I haven't got a single thing submitted...odd that. Oh well I'm still keeping this thing open, ::shrugs::

Either and all, you can write a bio, a history of the life or even just a log describing a major event in the character's life that i can build around. Like scarface, the world is yours!

Layor Segami was an Ambassador-at-large who often represented the United Federation of Planets.

 

During the Federation/Cardassian War he attempted to negociate a secret treaty. The Federation made a desperate plea to the Valerians asking them to cease supplying the Cardassian Military.

 

Layor was captured by an unknown band of mercenaries while on Valeria. He and his shuttle craft were taken into the Orias System where he disappeared without a trace.

 

There Segami was handed over to the Obsidian Order who immediately dispatched their hired hands. The interrogation of Layor lasted for weeks but he refused to tell them he was working for the Federation.

 

The War was raging and the Obsidian Order decided it was wasting too much time. They dumped Layor and his badly damaged shuttle on Saltok IV making it look like the work of Orion Pirates. 

 

Segami was rescued by the USS Garuda but the Layor host died of injuries sustained during his grueling interrogation.

Erian Segami - A male doctor who create a special unit for helping Trills last longer outside a living host.

 

Layor Segami - An important male diplomat that died during the federation-Cardassian war.

Hola muchachos. Still six more lives up for grabs to be told. When I've got them all I'll see how I can fit them together and then put them all on the boards for all to see as new posts in my bio. As I say they can be very long or very short so go nuts and be creative. (Though I wouldn't mind a female host or two to balance things out)

 

I'll never give up, I'm like a bug :lol:
