Camel spider. C'mon ain't it cute?

We used to keep these suckers as pets when I was in the Sandbox last year.

Captain, I know it's a bit over your weight limit, but have you considered the mini pin? It is the miniature Doberman Pinscher and it gets to be 8-10 pounds when full grown. They are cute and, at the same time, ferocious little beasts. Just like their fullsize cousins, they will be fiercely loyal to you and can be trained to attack titanium peg legs (or the organic one attached to the same body)

I'd rather have Corizon's scorpion...

How 'bout a pet rock?

Hedghogs are adorable little critters, and they won't engage the prickles if they're friendly with you.

Ball Pithon!!! Get a Pithon!!!!

Heh, let it loose, and it'll take care of any vermin running around the Hood. Including leftover tribbles, rats, rabbits, etc. Although, it might prove a little...distracting, should it pop up in the most unexpected places.

Hmmmm, How about a red bellied Pacu. (a close cousin to the Pirhana, but legal to keep in the U.S.) They eat plants and fresh meat, and grow quite large.

Or, you can aquire another Tribble.

Here's a picture of mine and Angie's Tribbles, Oscar (tan) and Fluffy (brown) Aren't they cute?

::has suddenly gotten the best idea::You know that teddy bear thing that Spock had? With the razor sharp teeth and spikes? Beam it to a Klingon bridge and it'll be better then a Tarq fight!

My votes go for the hedgehog, chinchilla, or the ferret!

You have to remember that the Hood is a TOS sim. A Human Captain just wouldn't come into contact with a targ unless it was as a prisoner. And don't worry, Rhoagie/Kroells is still as fat and lethargic as ever.

Does that rule out an aquarium of live gagh?

Not only is it ruled out but gagh is food. It would be like me having a bacon double cheeseburger with mushrooms as a pet.

I know gagh is food, but they crawl around alive anyway...

Yeah, but Gagh is best comparible to worms, at least by looks. Who wants to show off their pet worms?

I had a pet worm once. Until my grandmother dropped the jar, it broke & she swept up everything & threw it out.

Poor Charlie.

::points to her:: See, see? I'm not the only one...
