N'Dak for Praetor!

A tired, but pleased N'Dak walked off the stage and into the backroom where his advisors were waiting. The audience had reacted well to him, and as of the latest polls, he had a narrow lead. At the moment, he'd just got done with a group of farmers from the southern provinces of ch'Rihan, and his transport was waiting for his first off-world campaign tour.

“That went well,” one of the junior advisors offered as N’Dak finally walked into the room. “They seemed to really like the speech.”

“Of course they did,” N’Dak said with a hint of disdain. “We promised them that we’d decrease the number of exports from the Federation and increase domestic farm subsidies.”

“It’s what they want.”

N’Dak looked over at the speaker, Anheal tr’Kvan, a long time advisor to his father. “Yes, but can we really afford to make good on these promises?”

“When have au ever worried about making good on au promises. This is politics.”

Kvan had a point and N’Dak let it go. “Is my transport ready?”

“Ie,” Kvan nodded. “Everything is set for the trip.”

N’Dak nodded. He didn’t want to go, but at some point he had too. His support was waning in the southern regions of the Empire, where the high alien population was gravitating towards Donatra, but at the same time, being off planet would leave all the ‘good’ opportunities to Donatra, even if he did make marginal gains in the South.

It would be, as the Humans called it, a Whistle-stop tour. All the major southern planets were on the itinerary – ch’Danutha, Dumok Azin, Jurai, ch’Vania, Aguthura, and three maybe four other planets. All of which he’d hit up in a period of a week. If someone else didn’t kill him, his advisors just might.
