DV-156546Q

Aboard the massive and spanning Dominion Dreadnought – DV-156546Q – the Jem’Hadar first, Jek’Li waited for the Hundred Fleet to pass into weapons range. In the long history of the Dominion, what was about to happen was unprecedented. Never before had the Jem’Hadar fought each other in battle—let alone along side the declared enemies of the Founders.

Jek’Li couldn’t even fathom the consequences. He couldn’t imagine what would drive his brethren to forsake those who had breathed life into them; though the Hundred claimed also to be the gods Jek’Li could not abide by any god who set their children to fight amongst each other.

To his right, Kilana, his Vorta Commandant slid the eye device over her head and blinked her eyes activate the display. She was unusually strong willed for a Vorta – a respectable quality. But as Jek’Li knew, all the Founder’s creations had their purpose.

A blinking light on his consol distracted him. “Vorta…”

Kilana’s attention snapped to the Jem’Hadar, her weak eyes suddenly hardening as the same information flashed on her eye-screen. “Take care of it…now.”

Jek’Li nodded, and motioned for several bridge officers to follow him, their weapons drawn and in hand.

Aboard the flagship of the Romulan Fleet, the RES Storm Falcon, Admiral tr’Shaelon watched the on coming Hundred Fleet apprehensively. Battle and death did not scare him. He’d brushed with both many times in his life.

He’d fought everyone on the battle field at least once in his crew, some more than others. What worried him was the unthinkable – defeat for the Allies. If the Hundred were victorious, a new era in the Dominion would dawn. The Founder’s grip upon the harness of their terrible war machine would again be unleashed, of that he was sure. The Hundred would suffer no rivals, in any quadrant. The Alpha Quadrant would burn in the fires of their wrath; too much had been sacrificed in the last war for that to be allowed to happen.

His attention quickly shifted at an alarm from his Operations Officer. “Sir!”

Blinking quickly and refocusing his train of thought. “Yes?”

“Sir I am picking up energy spikes in the Dominion Flagships warp core.”

Lifting an eyebrow, “Any indication they’re in trouble?”

Jek’Li stalked through the hallways, his weapon drawn, and his security detachment in tow. A less seasoned warrior would be apprehensive at walking point into what was possibly a mutiny or sabotage attempt, not him.

As he strode into Engineering, he immediately noticed the quite of the room. The distinctive white glow of Dominion weapon whizzed by striking the Jem’Hadar directly behind him; instinctively Jek’Li rolled behind a pillar for cover, as did the others in his party.

On the bridge Kilana cursed in Dominioneese as the fire fight unfolded. “Second,” she called to the Jem’Hadar stationed nearest to her. “Prepare open the airlocks on the Engineering deck.”

On a Federation starship, such a command would have prompted the officer to question the sanity of the Captain; but on a Dominion ship, the command went unquestioned. Every loyal Jem’Hadar was prepared to give his life for the Dominion.

In Engineering, the battle continued to rage. As near Jek could tell, the Hundred had managed to stow aboard and wait for the opportune time to seize control. However, Jek had gained the upper hand. That was, until, as a last resort the leader of the Hundred insurgents fired upon the containment matrix.
