Computer> Log open...begin recording....

" It has been just over 2 weeks now, and help should be arriving anyday now.  Our teams are stretched as thin as they can go, and we've had to enlist the assistance of every able-bodied resident of the colony to help restore it to a livable state.  Those able to assist, are helping to clear roadways, rebuild homes and shelters, and to assist the infirm.  Others are soon to be enlisted to form food collection details, once the area has been deemed

secure of roving bandits.

As last reported to the Admiral, Security is patrolling the perimeter, and has teams protecting those teams from other departments that are working outside the main containment area.  The majority of these teams include engineering working on the waste, water and power supply plants of the colony.  Science has been assisting with OPS in locating any colonists trapped in collapsed structures and environs.

Medical has been doing an outstanding job, dealing with the influx of injured, ill and traumatized that have infused the camp.  They are all to be commended for their work, as are all teams.

The counselor has been assisting in rationing food supplies, and helping the inhabitants deal with what has befallen them here.  I'd like to recommend that she discuss this mission with out less experienced crew once we have returned from this area to the ship.  With it being their first taste of disaster on this magnitude, they may need to express how they feel about this.

Of chief concern on the planet..is the presence of the Spacefleet officers that have went feral....rogue as the Terrans would call it.  They tried a direct assault once before, and I dare not hope that they will give up.  Those that were captured, have refused to answer a single question so far.  Worrisome, is the fact that they were hidden by dampening fields...and they have knowledge of how to bypass some of out security systems.  Of primary

concern, is that they could be massing again, or in hiding waiting for our withdrawal.  Security has been alerted, but due to the expanded area that we are protecting, it is increasingly difficult to patrol as much ground/person as before.  Of greater risk..is the chance that some of these feral officers, may be masquerading as injured colonist, and have already penetrated the camp.  I will order additional scans of the interior of the camp, to look

for weapons that may have been smuggled into the area.

Engineering reports that most major facilities are about ready to bring back on-line. Structural damages have been repaired...cosmetic will be up to the colonist to take care of at their convenience.

Once the relief ship reports, we will assist them to transition their crews with our own, and leave them any supplies that we can spare.

Of other matters for returning to the ship....I wish to speak with Lt Commander Marak on a personal matter.  Also, I wish to speak to Lt Calrin involving a weapons charges, and to Ensign Pizz, also on weapon's charge. Commander Darr and Commander Tkai to be to be present as well. Note...also have Commander Darr ready another Away Team Training mission, to include those that missed the last session.  These are to include, but not be limited to:

Ensign Pizz, Ltjg Veydra, Fst Lt Acrop, and Lt Calrin. Any other junior officer may be added to this detail if their actions have so warranted.

End First Officers' Log"
