"What could go wrong?"

ASEC Duty Log

Lt. Jg Murdok Helios

“What could go wrong?

I left my barracks and reported to the manual phaser turret on Deck 9, port side. I entered the chair and locked in looking closely for any signs of other vessels in the expanse. Many minutes passed as I stat there and watched. Nothing could be seen as I switched from port, to starboard viewing screens. I got a comm to report to the bridge from Lt. Cmrd Graham. As I walked onto the bridge I glance around at all of the people from the different departments. Apparently repersenitives form different departments where asked to come and help search watching every inch of space. I took my position at the secondary tactical station and began looking over scans and watching the view screen.

Finally without warning the ship we had been searching for all along was in sight. We quickly moved toward and docked with it. Because transporting in the expanse is extremely dangerous. I joined the away team down in at the starboard airlock and we went over. I was assigned to move with the medical team. Check the passenger quarters and make our way to the engin. room. We made our way through the ship. I took the lead with Mackay a fellow security officer as we came up to the engin room doors we got an emergency call back to the ship. Without hesitation we rushed back through the ship dodging ruble and the bodies. We returned to Morningstar and took our battle stations. I returned to my turret eager to test its performance in a real battle. The enemy we were facing and why we left the ship so fast was still a mystery but I had no time to stop and ask questions.

Suddenly four Jem'Hadar warships belonging to the Hundred appeared around the ship. We quickly began to defend our selves as we took fire. Upon orders from Graham I let lose on my phaser turret, sending fire into one of the ships as it went by on a attack run. During the fight the Aquarian was fired upon and it exploded luckily taking one of the Jem’Hader ships along with it.

We are out numbered in the expanse with no shields or usfel scanners. This will be a very strong test of the Morningstars capablities.
