"Fanon" Ships

26 posts in this topic

I know some people online that are into designing ships and such. One of the guys put together a comparison chart that has many of the fan designs as well as canon ones, so you can see the sizes and all. There is one for shuttles as well. I thought it was interesting and well put together, so enjoy!

cool but the Laninia's warp nacelles freaked me out. I mean really clouds on warp nacelles!

Actually I believe that's one that was modeled on a 3-d program, so the texture simply looks odd from the side. The blue is like any nacelle, and I think the "cloud" bits you're referring to have in fact something to do with the nacelle attaching to the pylon.

You know things make sense now, the flying saucers people have seen in like 1950 were actually Galaxy Class Captains Yachts that someone were thrown back in time

While I am obviously glad to see the Peregrine class on this chart, who the heck named a ship class after ArchAngel?

I was wondering that, too.

Well, I've always loved the sleek and 'aerodynamic' classes of Starship, which is why the mock Sovereign Refit gets my nod. I would have given the Atlas a nod too, if it didn't look like a cut and past job on paint, and the nacelles weren't obscenely large.

You think the Atlas nacelles are big look at the Mephistopheles' nacelles

I really should have someone do something a hell of a lot better than the old bit-maps I have of the one ship I designed/redesigned, and redesigned a third time, as well as the fighters I designed for her.

Anyone with L33T C4D-skillz interested?

Just goes to show, I have way too much free time some times.

And the launch tubes and landing bay for the fighter wing are located under the fantail.

Hi Will Marx: are these fighters actual Trek classes or non-canon? Any websites with images? The "Spooky" one really caught my interest. :P

Thanks
