Following Direct Orders....And Complying With Same

He had arrived at the CMO office,and found Lt.Reno ....kinda relaxing at the desk of

his superior ,...well we had been ordered to take shoreleave and relax under order,

A direct order at that,so...as timing would have it Reno catipulted off the desk,and out

of the previous seat he had been occupying,he then woke up and realised it was just

his friend standing in the doorway.

 

I greeted him with a flurry of non consequential banter,..He smiled and retorted in

the way and humor I was accustomed to, It all came down to this,Two officers ordered

by not only their direct commander,but all the way up to and including the Admiral and

the order passed down to the subordinate officers in kind,well in absence of a superior

officer present,and in command,they were left to their own devises...,They agreed to

rejoin in the fighter bay and go for a "Training Excercise spin",afterall Eagle was fully

certified as a Fighter squadron leader,and Reno professed Expertese in fighter craft ...

 

They were in the process of putting on quite an aerial performance for the crew and

Compliment of the lounge on Star Base Camelot when an all to familiar voice seemed

to ring out on the station comm freq.,.........We attempted to reply to the voice,we were

unsucessful in the attempt to reply due to interference and gross static from our joint

communications system malfunction,We did note to advise the flight deck chief of the

problem as soon as we arrived back on board.

 

As luck would have it a visiting VIP remarked,and inferred to the skill and the

accuracy of the manuevuers he had witnessed,and qualified the statment ,now this

must be some of your best fighter jockey's,,at least that was the "received" comm.

Ahhhhhh....This is where i belong,..as Eagle pulled up hard to vertical,and kicked the thruster hard to port,...a double outside spiral,....followed by ..the inevetibal

Thors hammer...sequencing ..to a full burn,simiutaneousely with Reno exiting from

a full burn and spiral.....to ....cross in front of the window in the lounge,at full burn..

they waved ,and Saluted accordingly as they flew by....well this was truly rest and

relaxation..and was ordered ....afterall,...it isn't everyday you get to goof off....!!!!!
